Surely somebody should be directing this poor man to step down? It’s distressing to watch him. Where is the compassion?

Katie59 Fri 15-Apr-22 09:06:26

He certainly struggles, any opinions on his deputy who would take over if he did fade away.

Urmstongran Fri 15-Apr-22 12:00:55

No he’s getting worse. And there’s no intervention.

Boz Fri 15-Apr-22 12:03:24

Poor Biden; 10 years too late for the job.

sodapop Fri 15-Apr-22 13:00:03

It does seem as if he is struggling Urmstongran not sure how much is being presented in an adverse way.
I would have thought his wife would advise him, she seems a sensible woman.

MerylStreep Fri 15-Apr-22 13:03:03

Very sad to watch.

Honeysuckleberries Fri 15-Apr-22 13:04:05

It’s very sad to see but I think being the president and all the power it seems to wield for both the president and the family is what they cling on to for the longest time. As long as they can keep propping him they will continue.

Calendargirl Fri 15-Apr-22 13:09:15

Coming a bit late to all this, but what has President Biden done or said to trigger these concerns?

I mean recently.

winterwhite Fri 15-Apr-22 13:09:39

Has something recent triggered this? I thought 2-3 weeks ago that he had said and done some sensible things over Ukraine.

How do we know there has been no intervention, if thought necessary. How do we know there's no 'compassion'?

Joe Biden has more integrity than some other world leaders and than his principal opponent at home.. These sound like underhand remarks emanating from his enemies.

Me too, I'm not sure what this is about.

It's not about the way he speaks and his stammer again, which he has done his best to overcome, is it?

paddyann54 Fri 15-Apr-22 14:24:26

Id rather have 1 Biden than 100 Bojo's

GagaJo Fri 15-Apr-22 14:25:58

Ditto the last few questioners.

I'm sure the even more left wing deputy would be only too willing to step in. But she might be too female and black for some traditionalists.

I assume this relates to the video of him on stage trying to shake hands with a non existent person! He does look sad and lost I admit.

Grannynannywanny Fri 15-Apr-22 15:00:10

I didn’t think he looked like he was shaking hands with a non existent person. I think he was looking side stage for guidance from staff on which way he should exit.

I searched for the clip after seeing this thread. The first thing that appeared was the Daily Mail. Nuff said!

Redhead56 Fri 15-Apr-22 15:33:35

He looks constantly puzzled.

Urmstongran Fri 15-Apr-22 15:42:15

No not the empty ‘handshake’.
Yesterday’s speech - he claimed to have served as a "full professor" at the University of Pennsylvania, despite never teaching a class there.

I honestly believe he’s losing it. I wish Jill Biden would step in to say ‘enough now’.

volver Fri 15-Apr-22 15:47:49

DH was a full professor at a UK Uni and at a Uni in Germany. At the same time shock

Never taught a class at either of them in his life.

As far as I'm aware, DH is not losing it.

GillT57 Fri 15-Apr-22 15:52:31

Must try harder Urm. Biden may be president 10 years too late but he is a man of integrity and principle, unlike the liar you lumbered us with in your desperate wish for Brexit.

Urmstongran Fri 15-Apr-22 15:52:47

Ah that explains it all volver. No need to be concerned about him. At all.

Urmstongran Fri 15-Apr-22 15:53:41

Ah Gill57 you can always be relied upon to start the vitriol. On any subject.

volver Fri 15-Apr-22 15:53:46

I'll tell DH how relieved you are about him Urmstongran.

Urmstongran Fri 15-Apr-22 15:54:41

Clever volver.
