I can’t believe Volver has just called another poster a wanker in an extremely passive aggressive sly way.

That's because she hasn't. And honest, if you think I'm passive aggressive and sly you haven't been paying attention.

Interesting though.

Take a post that means one thing, pretend it means something else entirely and try to stir up the hatred of the masses.

I’m now of the view, nothing can be done, it’s too late.

Round up the people traffickers, set up officials outposts for people to apply for asylum, allow them to become working tax payers in their new home countries.

That way they become contributors as opposed to relying on handouts.

I remember when we were warned a decade ago that this cohort of Conservatives wanted to 'do away' with human rights, it seems it was the case after all. It's a shame it is going to affect so many of you that support it.

The problem is good people cannot imagine the depths those with extreme views will go to or tolerate. We can see Lee Anderson is, to say the least, one of the extremists when it comes to democracy. So I repeat what I have quoted before, "if you cannot imagine it, you cannot believe it". Those who support the likes of Lee Anderson cannot imagine what those views can do to their own lives, so they cannot believe the wickedness of such views. There is no real point talking to them.

What we have to do is work out how Grannies can stand up to this government. This government led by those trying to put in place a system led by a dictator - do you think he will ever go of his own volition? A government that is prepared to rule by force; by changing laws to stop dissent. A government that suppresses opposition and criticism by using propoganda. A government that noticably promotes nationalism and often racism.

It's advocates will continue to make inane and untrue comments, but what can we, often old and sometimes frail, do to stand up to them?

The saddest posters, Maudi are the xenophobic racists who completely ignore the importance of human rights for 'the wrong kind of foreigners' and who are perfectly happy for the UK to become an isolated pariah state without any checks on abuses of government power over individuals and no respect whatsoever for international law. The sort of state that people look on with pity and scorn for their inability to behave in a civilised fashion towards all their citizens.

I really don't understand what such posters want from their lives and their governments but their attitudes sicken me beyond belief.

Denmark have an even more stringent policy towards some refugees than we are attempting. They are trying to send Syrians home, but, meanwhile, are seizing jewellery and assets from them, to "fund" their stay.?

Waking Up To This ?

There will be a small section of society including lefty lawyers, Labour MPs and greedy over paid Human Rights charity executives who are sniggering right now over this judgement.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) prevented the flight from departing, after efforts in U.K. courts were exhausted.

The ECHR’s role in U.K. law needs looking at urgently!

I am meeting the Home Affairs Policy Committee today to see where we go from here.

Personally I would ignore the ruling and send the flights based on the decisions made by our own courts.

This is effectively a war now between right and wrong. I know in my heart of hearts I am on the right side of the argument here and this is a fight we must win.

Time to scrap the ECHR completely.

USA is not a dictatorship so I assume it carries these things out with the consent of its populace.

But I take your point.

I just hope that a solution can be found, these people are I assume now in detention centre’s for the foreseeable future.

Life is precious and the only gains are yet again going to be the people traffickers who must be laughing all the way to the bank.????

The ECHR was set up by world leaders, including Churchill, after WW2, to ensure that atrocities, such as the Holocaust, couldn't happen again.

Human Rights Protection was enshrined in International Law, so that governments couldn't just do as they might choose to, if it was without due regard to human rights.

It seems the ECHR stopped this flight, primarily, because we have no mechanism to return those already sent to Rwanda, if our Judicial `Review, due at the end of July, deems it illegal.

So, future flights, or not, will have to wait until after that.

Then, the whole thing should be settled, legally, once and for all.
