I love GB News

eazybee it all stems from ESG. All the main banks have signed up to it.
It is more concerned with taking care of the environment and pride than it's customers.

I cannot see how this woman ever reached such an important post; she seems to be a complete and utter fool, discussing a customer's personal details with a BBC journalist at a very public social function. She appears to have been far more concerned with DIE and promoting gay pride than in running an efficient Bank, and no concern whatsoever for people whose livelihoods were ruined by closure of their accounts because they didn't share her views.
£5 million salary for this.

Two journalist guests on GB News just saying AR is toast now and has to go. Another journalist was on earlier and he said even the lowliest bank Clerk would know that the most important part of their job is confidentiality and if they broke it they would lose their job straight away. So why isn’t AR losing her job? He predicts she will be gone by the end of the week.

At this moment, it obviously doesnt seem important to you, but if you were in the position that over 10,000 people find themselves you would be glad this is being addressed.

Freedom of speech and action is bigger than ULEZ ect., in fact did anyone actually vote for ULEZ, (I know very little so you could enlighten me)?

To many things that affect us have come about not through voting, but by our institutions deciding what they think we should have.

There has been very little dissent from the other mainstream broadcasters.

Therefore I for one am very glad this is happening.

I only wish I was knowledgeable enough to convince you!

Plus this isn't about one person (I presume you mean NF). This is a high profile person using his platform to shine a light on all the other (possibly in excess of 10,000 people) cases, who have had to cope with the banks decision, without any redress.

Banks are there to facilitate our monetary transactions.
They are not arbiters of our moral or political views.

Banks should look to themselves and their directors first before trying to tell others what they should be doing or what they should be thinking. They themselves are far from perfect.

Apparently ministers are drawing up plans to ensure bank customers are given three months notice of an account being closed and a clearer explanation, and looking to change licences so they can’t discriminate based on political views. I presume it will go before parliament in the autumn as they break up for the summer tomorrow. I don’t know why Sunak seemed lukewarm about it, but he was.

At PMQ today the PM said the government's Financial Services and Markets Act puts in place "new measures to ensure that politically exposed persons are being treated in an appropriate and proportionate manner". Is that what you mean Namsnanny when you say that there has been a lot of cross party support for Farage, an inquiry was requested by Jacob Rees-Mogg but rejected by Sunak as above.
