Classic Neighbours

Anyone else, caught in nostalgia = watching this? Back in 1985 I came across it by accident. Did not normally have time to have tv on during the day - but switched my one (only one we had), whilst giving Living room a good clean out. Probably about two or three weeks after it started and was fascinated to see Shane highboard diving. Two of my children had just joined a diving club and I was excited for them to see this when i discovered each episode had a late afternoon repeat.

So, it became standard when they had their after-school snack to watch neighbours. Of course, the diving disappeared within a couple of episodes, but it became a firm favourite.

As time past and kids went on to Uni, I stopped watching this, returned many years later and stayed until it finished.

As I watch these early episodes (I am now just about up to 'where I came in'), it brings back vividly, that large living room and the chintz three piece suite, etc.

Became a diving judge, Shane's dives would not have even got him into the national squad, let alone won him any medal at the Olympics!!!!!
