Who’s next?

It’s time for Boris to go his position has become totally untenable and probably has been for a while. Now I am not a Boris hater I actually quite like him but the job of PM is not for him and this has been proved over time.
Times could be quite interesting especially if Keir Starmer gets a fine and has to fall on his sword we could have both main parties in England without a leader
But the Conservative party really have to get their act together or we could well end up with a Labour government

What should we be doing?
Storming parliament and dragging them out for a public flogging?

I’m not sure what we can do? Apart from vote them out at the next election.
What do you suggest?

vegansrock Wed 06-Jul-22 07:51:45

So that’s alright then - we should all put up with sleaze as it’s happened before….

Kandinsky Wed 06-Jul-22 07:48:12

Well at least Kandinsky appeared !

grin like I’m the only person in the country who voted for brexit.

The whole ‘Tory sleeze’ thing doesn’t bother me as I’m old enough to have seen it all before.

Lucca Wed 06-Jul-22 07:37:21

However Kandinsky do you genuinely believe that all this sleaze etc is not worth being bothered about ?

Lucca Wed 06-Jul-22 07:36:25

Kandinsky

I voted for the conservatives because they were the only party who were respecting the referendum result.
Labour didn’t seem to know what they were doing about brexit, & the libdems were going to totally disregard the result.
So I voted for Boris ‘to get brexit done’ - which he has.
Absolutely no going back now which is just how it should be.
The majority voted to leave.

What happens now with the Tories doesn’t both me in the slightest. Although I still reckon on them winning the next election despite everything.

I can’t believe you actually mean what you said in your last paragraph Kandinsky. Are you seriously saying that you don’t mind what happens now with the Tories, so you’d be happy to let the PM ignore all rules of decent behaviour and carry on?

growstuff Wed 06-Jul-22 07:31:06

Does what happens to the country bother you Kandinsky?

vegansrock Wed 06-Jul-22 07:20:11

Anyone who believes Brexit is “done” and is a titanic success is seriously deluded.

So quiet from the Johnson fans …I’m hoping this finally changes my brothers mind !

Grandmabatty Wed 06-Jul-22 06:48:50

Johnson has no shame.

starshine Wed 06-Jul-22 05:15:48

That was my first action upon waking too. I live in hope though!

Chewbacca

So it's just the cat left then?

And Carrie.
I recommended one of those steamer thingies that helps remove wallpaper in strips, perhaps she can re-use the paper somewhere else.
Waste not, want not.

The BBC seems to be trying to keep it up to date although it could have changed in the last 28 minutes. It includes those who have declared they intend to stay and those who are undeclared.

Foolishly they don't see the potential of the cat smile

I'm losing track so this is a bit selfish but it may help others:

Cabinet
Chancellor Rishi Sunak
Health Secretary Sajid Javid

Parliamentary private secretaries
Jonathan Gullis, Northern Ireland Office
Saqib Bhatti, Department of Health and Social Care
Nicola Richards, Department of Transport
Virginia Crosbie, Welsh Office

Others
Alex Chalk, solicitor general
Bim Afolami, vice-chairman of the Conservative Party for youth
Andrew Murrison, trade envoy to Morocco
Theodora Clarke, trade envoy to Kenya

Britain deserves better than this

Steve Barclay has been appointed as health secretary so you don’t need to worry about Matt Hancock returning in that role anyway.

But you do need to worry about the remains of the NHS being sold to the highest bidder.

Talk about marrying a midden for muck, Zahawi and Barclay are marked for life for being the rats that joined the sinking ship. Men who put advancement and personal interest before any sense honour and decency

Luckygirl3 Tue 05-Jul-22 22:15:56

It is all sickening. I am sure BJ knew all about Mr Bottom Pincher when he appointed him - just what he wants: people who will toe the line under threat of him dishing the dirt.

I am glad that the cabinet is beginning to crumble, but suspect the timings and motives of all the damned Tories.
