What more can I say. I just hope anyone offered a post in his reshuffled Cabinet turns it down.

When your ex girlfriends (or bit on the side) start to talk to the media, it really is the pits and time to go!
Petronella Wyatt who had an abortion after getting pregnant by Boris has been having her say all over the place.

Boris Johnson will "never" resign and thinks he has a "God-given right to rule in perpetuity", the prime minister's ex-girlfriend has said.

Petronella Wyatt, who had a four-year affair with Mr Johnson while working at the Spectator magazine, said government would grind to a halt and "every minute of the day will be devoted to saving Boris".

Boris Johnson ‘will never resign and thinks he has a God-given right to rule forever’, says ex-girlfriend

Casdon

Here’s a more accurate summary of the Queen’s constitutional rights.
www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/aug/07/could-the-queen-sack-boris-johnson-the-experts-are-divided

Amounts to the same thing Casdon
The queen would need parliment to show do the work it would need to be clear who should replace Johnson before the Queen would be in a position to sack him.

She should have stepped in many months ago as a Head of State should do when Johnson was spending billions on PPE giving contracts to his mates. It was the Good Law Project that stepped in to seek justice with help of crowdfunding. But as she has no powers she can't

What are we paying this family £345 million for????

With regard to the unsavoury Ms Wyatt, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Everyone is happy to call Boris a liar, but Wyatt is believed implicitly. It says rather more about the media and the people who believe that sort of trash.

MayBee70 Thu 07-Jul-22 13:26:52

Are you saying she’s lying about the abortion?

With respect, Johnson is a notorious liar. I would be for more likely to believe pretty much anyone before I would take his word.

I also think it says a lot about someone when they assume that a woman is 'unsavoury' and speaking 'trash' when she gives an account of her own experiences.

Wyatt definitely had an abortion which Johnson paid for.
It’s all very well documented.
I don’t know why she is ‘unsavoury’

He’s hanging on until the autumn, in the hope of some miracle that will allow him to stay.

He’s going to regroup. He has to go now.

He has no one to regroup with. The rats have all deserted the sinking ship.

Whether those serving in the cabinet feel they are doing a public interest job, or are just following what they think is in their long term best interest, I do not know.

Ben Wallace, Minister of Defence, who kept a low profile throughout, said that in the current situation in Ukraine and elsewhere. He felt his duty was to his country and ministry. I tend to respond positively to this he is ex-army and I am from an army family and recognise a very traditional military attitude that considers country before politics.

I am not a Conservative, and certainly am not endorsing him for PM, but I do think that most other ministries could manage quite well without a minister for a couple of months.

Also he intends to have a post (Covid) wedding party at Chequers, at the end of the month.
The Final Party (curtain).

I hope he’s paying ( or one of his supporters) for it all, including the security and staff time.
Otherwise, it’s down to the taxpayer, again!

Personally, I preferred Starmers version at PMQs, about it being a case of "the sinking ships fleeing the rat". grin
