I worked in the Christmas decorations aisle at Woolies, so know just how a glittery surface can hide a lot of shoddiness.

Oh, a blast from the past Ashcombe!
Timothy Whites and Taylors - the shop in our town was like a long tunnel, but it didn't back on to caves.

I worked in the accounts department at Harrods for 2 summers. The first time doing all the senior managers pay slips. The second time checking invoices rejected by the new computer system.

Although I was not directly involved, this sytem discovered that a department manager was cheating the company out of £10,00s of £ a year through setting up a fake company.

I am sure I would be very good at checking expenses claims and any cronyism in awarding contracts.

I worked as a nursing auxiliary (remember them) on a labour ward, so I learned to clean the blood off before it stained.

You are a delightfully witty bunch.

I had an evening job in a restaurant kitchen for a while, so I know how many beans make five.

Not a job, but I've always done lots of knitting and crochet, so I think I could pull the wool over people's eyes.

Jaxjacky Tue 19-Jul-22 14:31:25

My Saturday job was in a greengrocer, I know how to bin old vegetables.

Bridie22 Tue 19-Jul-22 14:34:46

I worked in sparks cake shop...so I know how to smile sweetly and handle money?

Calendargirl Tue 19-Jul-22 14:37:59

I worked in a greengrocers and earned £1 for a day’s work, 8.30-5.00. If I went in the week in the school holidays, I was paid 50p for the day, as it wasn’t so busy in the week.

I realise this doesn’t really qualify me to be PM, but just thought I would share this interesting fact.

I suppose it encouraged me to aspire to bigger and better things though, and as there is a PM vacancy….

lixy Tue 19-Jul-22 14:46:45

My first holiday job was a washer-up in an old people's home. Porridge was made in a huge double boiler and dealing with that was my first job every morning.
I'm really good at dealing with slimy slithery-gloopery.

I worked as a filing clerk, so I know how to hide information.

M0nica Tue 19-Jul-22 15:09:20

My hobby is archaeology, so I would be very good at digging up the dirt and getting to the bottom of everything (or even covering it up)

kircubbin2000 Tue 19-Jul-22 15:26:05

I worked in a sandwich bar where the expensive ones were reserved for the important customers only.

Greta Tue 19-Jul-22 15:30:17
