Vardy vs Rooney

I listened to the interview last night Callistemon and she was asked several times, did she see any part where she was responsible and, at every question, she said no. Even though CW proved in court that she'd attempted to settle it all out of court on 4 separate occasions, RV denied that was the case. I don't think the interview was a good idea; it didn't do much to improve her image imo. I feel very sorry for her children who've been caught up in this - nothing to do with them and they shouldn't have been on the receiving end of abuse.

Ms Vardy thinks she has stress induced kidney stones and PTSD following the court case. Not sure how war veterans and victims of violence feel about this but I suppose those of us with a more private and publicity avoidant personality can empathise.

Apparently there is a televised interview with RV tonight. I’ve seen a trailer and she came across as a bad actress in the snippet I saw. Obviously has little self awareness.

I read RV’s interview with a Mail journalist. I don’t mean to dismiss mental health problems and feel slightly uncomfortable about my immediate response. It was difficult not to put her claims in the context of that mobile falling into the sea. That is - drama exaggeration and assuming people are naive

It is sad Dilly but there's nothing you can do about it. For us, it was like watching a train crash coming in slow motion.

Smileless2012 I’ve read many of your posts on estrangement and it makes me very sad a mother (yourself and Jamie’s mother) who have raised her child and watched them grow and build their own adult life has had them ripped away by their dil.

Jamie had such a wonderful rags to riches story, which was spoiled by his desertion of his parents and the recent RV scandal . Very sad, he is sticking by wrong person imo. Who knows maybe his parents wouldn’t forgive him even if he asked now, he has put them through the wringer.

Smileless2012 I imagine for the parents, though they might be glad the world knows RV true colours now and the public knows whose fault the estrangement is, it will be scant comfort unless Jamie actually picks up the phone. I feel for them. ‘But for the grace of god, go I’ as my granny would have said.

Allsorts you just made me shudder to think anyone could have a Dil like RV. I count my blessings every day with mine.
I said before I know little about these wives but I do remember that CR's disabled sister died very young and she was devastated.

I don't doubt that Coleen is kind and loves her disabled sister, why wouldn't she? She's a good mother, can't understand anyone putting up with a serial adulterer but it's her choice. As for Rebecca! I'm just so appreciative of my Dil. I am just not interested in reading about the silly amount of money on court cases like this. However the husbands earn it, the wives spend it. both like the spotlight. I wouldn't have their lives for anything. Now a book. A good, decent man with mutual love and a family, that's worth everything.

I very much doubt he'd be where he is now without his parents support Dilly. Pity he doesn't think about that now, or maybe he does.

So tired of hearing about this, certainly doesn't need to be headline news. Two silly women wasting vast amounts of money. The legal teams must be laughing all the way to the bank.

smileless yes I keep thinking of his parents and hope that he will see sense and that his parents disapproval of his marriage to RV which caused the estrangement, was completely justified.

I don’t know anything about Jamie’s upbringing, but if it was anything like my experience of football mad sons, his parents would have spent vast amounts of time on the weekends and weeknights driving to games, standing on the sidelines while your feet turn into blocks of ice, washing filthy kits and shoes. I hope he sees sense and let’s his parents back into his life.

I read somee critical press about RV some years ago, but just assumed it was the usual nasty tittle tattle because she had been married before and was now marrying a famous and RICH footballer.

Her behaviour over this case fits in with what I read then.
