It sounds worrying, doesn’t it?

Nicolenet Fri 09-Sept-22 13:55:37

Her Majesty the Queen was admirable. Now it is Long Live the King. Well done new PM. What a week!

Kryptonite Fri 09-Sept-22 14:15:23

I didn't for a minute see it coming. Just thought she was I'll and would get better. So very shocked and sad. I will miss her a great deal. My mum is coming up for this age. ?

MaggsMcG Fri 09-Sept-22 14:57:26

Charles Camilla and Anne were already there before the others. Had been for days.

Joane123 Fri 09-Sept-22 16:41:34

Oh Aveline that is lovely, I am in tears again.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 09-Sept-22 16:44:40

A real tearjerker Aveline

Alie2Oxon Fri 09-Sept-22 17:23:05

R.I.P Queen Elizabeth. I'm not that royalist but as many are saying, she was always there. A rock.

I wonder how the new King and Liz Truss will get on.....

Love the lonely corgi!
But what happened to that picture of the Queen and Paddington bear? I saw it once and now can't find it....

Maddyone, my sincere condolences to you and your family. My condolences also to the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of our beloved Queen. Like many others I have never known anything else having been born in the late 1950’s. Poor Charles has not only lost his much loved mother but now, at the age of 73, when most people have retired, is our country’s monarch. I think the best tribute we can give his mother is to give him our support.

Susieq62 Fri 09-Sept-22 17:57:20

I am no royalist but I feel that a very important person in my life has gone! She was always there as a rock and a guiding hand with a sensible, intelligent head and a huge sense of humour ! What a year this is !
Our Queen will be missed by us all

I’m so sad like many only monarch I know and actually met her more than once such a gracious lady

AshleysGran Fri 09-Sept-22 21:05:16

Jamie

So very sad to hear the news.
Rest in Peace your Majesty.
'Well done thou good and faithful servant.'

God save the King

I'm so glad someone else has thought of this quote!

francisdelima Fri 09-Sept-22 21:31:45

Why on Earth do you feel you should be anti-Royal? I do not understand this? Why? Why be "anti" anything especially "Royal". Stand up for your convictions!!! The British Royal Family has served this UK, the Commonweath and the entire World well and selflessly! I honour the Queen and salute King Charles III. God Save The King!

grannydarkhair Fri 09-Sept-22 21:36:07

This is Theresa May’s tribute to the Queen, and is imo, the best of all the tributes given by MPs, etc.

Further to my previous post.

Joane123 Fri 09-Sept-22 22:49:51

Thank you Aveline a lovely picture. I think that is Billy carrying the first two. Such lovely dogs.

Calendargirl Sat 10-Sept-22 07:35:57

Secretsquirrel1

I can’t stop worrying about the Queens dogs. I hope they won’t be pining for her. I wonder who will look after them. ?

I know what you mean, but of all the dogs that have been left without their owner due to bereavement, I think those of the Queen will be well taken care of.

FannyCornforth Sat 10-Sept-22 07:37:24

Grannydarkhair I heard Mrs May’s speech for the first time last night. Yes, it was marvellous and her delivery was perfect.
I love Theresa May.
I do wish that she was our PM, if we must have a Tory government

FannyCornforth Sat 10-Sept-22 07:42:35

Calendargirl I read a ridiculous post on Reddit earlier, declaring it most irresponsible of whoever it was who gave the Queen her most recent dogs.
As if the poor woofers were being bundled off to the Aberdeenshire RSPCA dog shelter…
