Where is Truss?

She is acting like a dictator who doesn’t see the need to explain herself. There are so many seriously concerned people worrying about how to pay mortgages and bills over the next months. Can’t help but think this is the master plan to do away with public and health services replacing with US style insurance. God help us. It will take years to repair the damage to the U.K. economy.

Johnson backed Truss as leader when he was forced to resign.

Johnson (it has been widely suggested) hopes to make a comeback at some stage.

Truss is surrounded by, so presumably is advised by, Johnsonites.

Is there a link between these facts?

Is it possible that she has been deliberately set up to make such a monumental hash of things that he will be welcomed back with open arms?

I can't help wondering ...!

As for Gordon Brown running the country, he was the one that sold our gold reserve at a bargain price!

With absolutely no detriment to our economy because our currency hasn't been backed by gold since at least 1972.
If gold ever became the instrument of exchange (i.e money) we might regret it, but ATM it's irrelevant.

What short memories you all seem to have. She has been somewhat busy these last few months, so may just be taking a breather in readiness for the Party Conference next week.
