And I owe Johnson an apology. He's not the worst Prime Minister in my lifetime as events have recently proved. But it's fairyland to think he might return. We must see the back of Truss though - she has messed up big with the financial markets, driven up mortgage costs and risked the pension funds not to mention making us a laughing stock internationally. Tories: get rid of her now.
I would have difficulty deciding who is "worse" as they are both so bad, but in different ways.
I think there is more to come out about Johnson's oversight of government. Truss ... well I suppose it takes a very special person to wreck a countries economy and reputation quite so quickly. Noticeably, we still haven't got a costed budget. What happens once we have, I wonder.
I also wonder if it is possible to stop decline, now we have left the EU. The Labour Party, if they get power (I'm not taking anything for granted at this point) will have to be careful what they promise as we still, presumably, will have stones to overturn in the various departments.
