If we had the choice now, you are right, Liz Truss would definitely be the worst!

Not sure about Thatcher being 3rd on your list. I would put James Callaghan in 3rd place following his 'Winter of Discontent' and therefore giving Thatcher a shoe in at the GE of 1979.

Can I have a little boast here? A few months back there was a thread asking who the worse Prime Minister ever was. Surprisingly, quite a few people said Tony Blair (I don't remember him being disliked so much at the time).

Anyway, I posted something along the lines of 'Liz Truss is almost certainly going to be'...... But even I didn't realise how right I'd be!!

I would have difficulty deciding who is "worse" as they are both so bad, but in different ways.

I think there is more to come out about Johnson's oversight of government. Truss ... well I suppose it takes a very special person to wreck a countries economy and reputation quite so quickly. Noticeably, we still haven't got a costed budget. What happens once we have, I wonder.

I also wonder if it is possible to stop decline, now we have left the EU. The Labour Party, if they get power (I'm not taking anything for granted at this point) will have to be careful what they promise as we still, presumably, will have stones to overturn in the various departments.

Hunt faces an uphill struggle with the economy and probably with Truss's barmy ideas. The Tories must get rid of her and appoint a grown up (which lets out Johnson). Of course, with their record of success in choosing a leader they might select Braverman in which case God help us all (not to mention asylum seekers).
