I am sick and tired of Tory histrionics

Meanwhile a UN Rapporteur has criticised the government for doing nothing for the poor, and millions of families are struggling to survive the months ahead, many becoming homeless and children hungry.

I could weep.

If Labour got in Starme r would be on telly so much it would
be really depressing he never had any interesting ideas in opposition and h e wouldn't be able to continue to tell everyone how disgusted he is With the Tories So what would be have to say

What would he say? Something to do with governing the country, I would imagine. Perhaps a word or two about stabilising the Economy. He might even go as far as to suggest ways to improve the NHS, Education and Social Services.

What a mess!

MayBee70 Thu 20-Oct-22 21:52:05

I’m so looking forward to politics becoming boring again!

I’d rather have dull but capable and committed than stark staring bonkers and no clue what to do. Bring it on.

Well there you go... don't vote for the Labour party!

Then you can watch on telly those interesting Tory leaders explaining to us about the 'difficult decisions' they will be forced to make by oodles of public-spending cuts to the services that we rely on.

Far less depressing!

I am becoming seriously depressed by the mess we are in as a Nation. If Boris Johnson is brought back as PM I feel like trying to escape the country but I really wouldn't know where to flee to.

James O'Brien totally on fire here and it brings tears to the eyes in places.

Everyone in this country, especially those about to vote, should listen to the superb James O'Brian, thank you Maizie

We need a general election.
The mostly vacuously ambitious people scrabbling for power atm, should be made to answer O'Brian's points.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 20-Oct-22 13:33:41

So what now?

A coronation?

Do we all stand by twiddling our thumbs whilst the idiots spend yet more time navel gazing

growstuff Thu 20-Oct-22 13:18:50

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not so sure Sunak would have come up with anything different, but who knows?

I agree with you that the only way out of the impasse is a GE.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 20-Oct-22 13:15:17

growstuff

Whom would you prefer?

I have a preference for Rishi Sunak.

Honestly I think we need a GE, whoever is in the cabinet or even PM they are just a rather lame duck cohort.

I know that we do not vote for a PM, we only vote for our constituency MPs however the only person with a mandate to be PM was/is Mr.Johnson and the likelihood of him being back in No.10 is zero.

I can think of plenty of things I could write about Jeremy Hunt, but allegations about his Chinese-born wife is an indication that the desperate are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Oh I am desperate, desperate to see him out of office.

So Jeremy Hunt's a Chinese spy now, is he?

Haven’t seen that posted here growstuff do you know something that you are not telling us?

So what else are we supposed to assume from the revelation that Mrs Hunt worked (works?) for Sky TV's "China Hour"?

Sadly, it’s not just the Tories.

An article from 2021 is the best you can come up with?

Oh you can’t blame anyone except the Tory party, - even they didn’t have a clue what was going on. Well, they mostly are clueless.

In fact no one is still clear as to what took place.

Cannot disagree, that the Conservatives are in chaos.

I remember a time when the news reported the news not supposition and rumours.

People now only remember the first soundbites unfortunately, not the actual news behind them.

??????????

So Jeremy Hunt's a Chinese spy now, is he?

I suppose it diverts from the fact that he ruined the NHS when he was Health Secretary.

There's nothing like a bit of completely irrelevant whataboutery.

Philippa111 Thu 20-Oct-22 12:13:04

It's disgusting that millions of families in this country are now in deep poverty... something we might associate with a 3rd world situation.
There is no compassion or shame just self serving, power seeking low grade people, AKA politicians!! It's a farce!

Urmstongran Thu 20-Oct-22 12:05:06

I think he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing GG13

Hunt is not a "moderate" either, he is a Chinese lockdown fanatic who told with glee the story of how his sister's door was welded shut on a visit to China.

Grant Shapps is an incompetent buffoon who did nothing in Transport.

Mrs Hunt works for a Chinese State TV Station allegedly

I am so despairing of the total farce and the international laughing stock we have become.

I feel embarrassed to say I'm British and am so fed up I can't be bothered giving it space in my head any more

All I can say is the sooner Scotland can get away from these morons the better!
