It wouldn't surprise me if Trump somehow wriggles out of his present predicament. I hope he doesn't, but it strikes me in the US you can get out of practically any crime if you can afford an expensive enough defence lawyer.
Boris Johnson is a slightly different propostion, as in order to become Prime Minister again he would need to be voted head of the Conservative party again. RIght now that is not going to happen.

Honestly, I think the entire Western world needs to realise that no-one whether an individual or a state can use money they do not have, unless they can borrow it, which is not and never has been the best way of managing an economic disaster.

Whether these will take the form of higher taxation, cutting back on helping refugees and leaving the NHS to muddle along as best it can on its present budget I do not know, as I have never aspired to being Chancellor of the Exchequer.
As a housewife, I can tell you what you already know: using money regardless of whether you really can afford to or not is a slippery slope. It is high time that governments learned this lesson, not only the British one, but all others as well.
