Yup. I love all the sitting around; nothing happening; just chatting.

But I loathe and detest the animal cruelty.
Not just the eating stuff, but even more so the squealing and histrionics about any creature that isn’t cute and fluffy.

I’m really sick of politicians antics outside of their parliamentary work distracting people away from their failure to govern this country, at a time of crisis, in a sensible grown up way. Dorries, alledgedly spends a lot of her parliamentary time writing her novels.

It's funny, which distracts from our whole government situation being incredibly depressing.

Absolutely, MPs should have to prove they are actually working, in order to get paid, even if the hours are flexible.
They shouldn't be jaunting off elsewhere and / or doing things they prefer.

I never watch it. However if Hancock is going to be forced to do all sorts of hideous trials I may just have to tune in!

I am trying to decide whether Hancock's local constituency office really dislike him, or whether this is some kind of weird Norfolk perversion.

On Twitter, lots of NHS employees promising to vote for him to do lots of ghastly tasks; just hope it doesn't backfire in some way and people end up feeling sorry for poor little Mattie. You can never underestimate the intelligence of the voting public........

He is apparently making a donation to a hospice in his constituency.

My opinion on this is it shows him for what he really is. A few days ago when he was in the line up to greet the prime minister he looked like an excited puppy but Rishi deliberately snubbed him. No doubt there. So even mr Hancock, as thick skinned as he seems to be must have realised right then that he was finished and he wouldn’t be back with the big boys and girls telling us all what to do. Pretty sure had he not been snubbed he wouldn’t be going into the jungle! His ex wife must look at him and wonder if she ever knew the real person that she thought he was. Well we’ve all been there at some point or another !

Nadine Dorries was paid £85.OOO. This should help with his divorce fees. A charity payment could be a fiver!

Apart from not being available to his constituents, a part of me thinks it's pretty funny. A most unexpected two fingers to the Tory hierarchy!

Phew, glad it is not just me!

MPs are elected to serve their Constituents, hold Surgeries. read and reply to letters, represent them in the House, etc, etc. There should a a Law that requests that they give up their role and call for a by-election, if they are not doing this. Same for Johnson, of course.

What's wrong with Mike Tindal taking part in this rather tacky programme? He's not got a title, he is not a working member of the RF so gets no public money, he is not showing disrespect to the RF and any money made is to be donated to Parkinsons Disease, which his late father died of. So why shouldn't he take part any more than Boy George?

I’m rather annoyed that Sky News pointed out that other MP’s have been on Strictly and cited Ed Balls being in it. But didn’t point out that,when he was on it ( to the best of my knowledge) Ed was no longer a serving politician. Whereas Hancock and Dorries were MP’s at the time.

Thankfully Sky News has now said that only Hancock and Dorries went on IAC while they were still MP’s.

I have never watched "I'm an idiot in the jungle" but I gather it is a full time activity in Australia so not suitable for anyone with a fulltime job here - like an MP.

Having the Tory whip withdrawn means absolutely nothing.

Our MP, David Warburton, had the Tory whip withdrawn at the beginning of April because of allegations of sexual harrassment by three different women, graphic pictorial and text message evidence of taking class A drugs and corruption and nepotism involving an extremely dodgy Russian deemed an improper person to be involved in financial services.

He is still being paid for not doing his job.

Numerous dodgy MPs have had to resign for just one serious misdemenour.

Why can't we even have a by-election in Somerton and Frome?

I won't be watching. Halfcock is hardly a celebrity. And I think it's tasteless given his less than competent performance as health minister during the pandemic.

How undignified! How disappointing that a top politician should stoop so low.
