So Kwarteng now says it’s all Liz Truss’s fault.

But Kwarteng knew better didn't he? After all is IQ is much higher than the majority of the population, or so he says.

I'm fed up with all these politicians who are "academically clever" but who show very little intelligence or awareness of how the majority live.

Revealed: the £30bn cost of Liz Truss’s disastrous mini-budget

www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/revealed-the-30bn-cost-of-liz-truss-s-disastrous-mini-budget/ar-AA142t2d?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=7d738628a31841f189b8ae980bc273aa

Truss and Kwarteng have done huge damage to our country and to the standard of living of everyone in it.

The Mandy Rice Davies defence, methinks.

What about collective responsibility. Certainly no gentleman, oops, can I say that now!!

It was blood curdling listening to him! What an hypocrite of the highest order!

Indeed.

MayBee70 Sat 12-Nov-22 08:57:13

He said it at the very end of his mini budget speech in parliament. He gleefully said ‘and there will be more to come’. The mini budget was bad enough but that’s what caused an even bigger problem.

Anyone remember (they spout so much rubbish all the time that it is difficult to keep up) that Kwarteng was promising even more tax cuts?

Conveniently forgotten in his suppose criticism of Truss.

What a fool the man is.

Grantanow Sat 12-Nov-22 00:04:31

No doubt he will be put up to the lord's in due course!

MayBee70 Fri 11-Nov-22 22:26:55

He hasn’t even got the decency to apologise…

Let’s try another way.
You said ( alluding to HPQs post @ 13. 26 that you won’t see that reported in the Torygraph or the Daily Fail
You did say that, didn’t you? Unless I’m reading something that you didn’t post.
I’m pointing out to you that the Daily Fail did report the relationship between Kwarteng and Odey and the money Odey made on the markets.

varian Fri 11-Nov-22 19:56:36

What's not true MerylStreep?

Surely you are not disputing the fact that Truss and Kwarteng trashed the economy?

MerylStreep Fri 11-Nov-22 19:17:23

Not true. That’s where I read it back in September.

Why should we now have to pay over the odds for our mortgages?, Why should we pay so much for our basic cost of living?, Why have our pension pots been shrunk?

Kwasi Kwarteng and Liz Truss should should be prosecuted.

He also failed to mention that he is on the payroll of Crispin Odey who was reported to have made £145m when Kwarteng crashed the markets. If I know this, why aren't reporters asking him?

THAT is indeed it. Just appalling, bordering on fraud on a massive scale, Insider Dealing to order.

Bloody fool.

In the words (or similar) of Mandy Rice-Davies,

“Well, he would say that, wouldn’t he?”.

Absolutely. 😉

Nevertheless I think he's right. Amazing thing is why he's chosen just now to say it. By all accounts he isn't intellectually stupid.

Glorianny Fri 11-Nov-22 12:30:33

It's his version of "A big boy made me do it!" Honestly how did we finish up with such a bunch of childish, venal , incompetent idiots? He can't even take responsibility for his actions. Pathetic.

MayBee70 Fri 11-Nov-22 12:17:01

He must think we’re so stupid. He was like a kid in a candy store when he announced his mini budget. The one that included all of the plans that were outlined in Britannia unchained, the book he co wrote. Not only that but, at the end of it he gleefully announced ‘and there’s more to come’ which was totally unnecessary and was probably what panicked the markets.
