No, I wasn't speaking for myself at all - nor you. However, look around you - even on GN - and it's not hard to find hatred of migrants.

DaisyAnne I think he also made an idiotic remark about how wonderfully state schools had performed during Covid? He appears to think that, because they just about coped with that, they don't need the sort of help he's pouring into private schools.

Hate is such a strong word that seems to have reduced in strength over recent years. I have never hated anyone or anything, not even people who have done me harm . I might be in a minority but life’s too short to hate something you have absolutely no way of changing or influencing 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think the OP was more about "hate" as in what the newspapers (and some on GN) think we should group together, blame and hate.

It's a very old instrument of propaganda which we seem to have seen much more of in the last dozen or so years.

People who ring you and try to scam you. I have stopped answering the phone to anyone who’s name doesn’t appear now. If they don’t leave a message, bad luck.

I don't think I do hate. It's a mixture of anger and despair for me. There must be some good people in politics and in the media but the trash is all we get to see.
