Just been released.

Lots of black and white footage.

Kisses, laughter, tears.

We don’t have Netflix, so shan’t be watching it.

Hmm, it’s already being take apart for its — dramatisation.

The hounded by the press that wasn’t them it was a Harry Potter premiere.
Harry covering his face from the Press with Chelsea edited out -way before Meghan
The pregnant with Lilli and Harry with his face in his hands that’s a mock-up

I’m sure there’s more.

I think what some of us have become aware of in the last few days, is that there are some who wouldn't recognise racism if it jumped up and bit them.

I think we all recognise racism volver

I think we also recognise the way the press like to set females against each other by comparisons which are not always favourable.

For the record I am not against the Sussexes I am a royalist.

I am against fabrication of events.

Lathyrus Mon 05-Dec-22 15:38:23

If things are real, you don’t have to make them up, do you?

Why not just relate things that have really happened? Don’t you think that would have more effect, volver?

I beg to differ.

I know it's not done to quote other threads, but this weekend has seen a barrage of claims asserting that a blatant racist incident was just bit rude, or was the fault of the person who looked a bit different.

The press will use anything available to them to try to turn the public against the people they have decided we're not to like, and to generate clicks/sell newspapers. But pretending that some of the criticism of Meghan isn't, or wasn't rooted in racism, is just not credible.

Lathyrus Mon 05-Dec-22 16:00:54

So there ought to be enough to tell without having to fake things.

What’s the point in making stuff up if there’s real incidents to speak of.

Don’t you think they weaken their case by this fake presentation?

Smileless2012 Mon 05-Dec-22 16:06:46

Don't you think that they weaken their case by this false presentation? just a bit Lathyrus and the blatant lies don't exactly help either.

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 16:06:53

I don't care what they tell us, mainly because I don't think they are trying to bring down civilisation as we know it. And I'm not really interested in what they say. I am interested in two particular things.

How members of the public can be manipulated by the press to like/dislike anybody the press decides on.

And how some members of the population will take the tiniest thing, blow it out of all proportion, embellish it, and use it as "proof" that the hate figure is really an enemy of all we hold dear.

Calendargirl Mon 05-Dec-22 16:07:55

Harry describes it as ‘a dirty game’ apparently.

He also speaks about ‘the pain and suffering that women marrying into this family’ encounter.

Obviously referring to Meghan and Diana.

Camilla, Catherine, Sophie, they must all be made of sterner stuff, one assumes.

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 16:10:42

Yes perhaps they are.

And that is a problem why?

Something wrong with not being "made of sterner stuff"?

Smileless2012 Mon 05-Dec-22 16:13:08

Unlike you I do care volver. I care when I see them trying to bring down a family and I care when I see how members of the public can be manipulated by people like H & M, and the press into believing the lies that are being spun.

As for taking the tiniest thing, blow it out of all proportion, embellish it, and use it as "proof" H & M are the true masters.

If you read again, he included Kate in it.

Lathyrus Mon 05-Dec-22 16:17:45

So not just about race then?

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 16:18:13

I can see that you care Smileless2012. I can see that lots of people care.

So why so much hatred (sorry, can't think of another word) for H&M and not for the press that print the most despicable, pathetic and unproven things about them and about others.

A stock picture used for milliseconds in a one-minute promo created by a production company means that they, personally, are lying?

Saying "they do it so, so we can do it too" is pretty childish, isn't it?

Jaberwok Mon 05-Dec-22 16:19:15

What puzzles me is how they got these intimate photographs. Did/do they have an in house photographer at the ready to snap these events as they happened? Meghan crying,Harry in despair, kissing in the kitchen and so on, or, as is more likely, different photos have been tampered with to produce the desired end product. Very odd!

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 16:20:55

Oh now, just come on!!

Smileless2012, look at this. Now they "tamper" with photographs. 🤷🏼

Lathyrus Mon 05-Dec-22 16:22:00

Do you think he has the right to attribute his feelings about marrying into this family to others?

Catherine seems to have taken to her role like a duck to water. It’s quite wrong for him to believe he has the right to attribute thoughts and feelings to her, don’t you think?

Well they did tamper with the photo of Garry hiding his face from the photographers. They used one that had him with Chelsea from years back.

I do think it matters if you’re trying to portray your life and then use photographs from someone else’s life and pretend it’s yours.

Lathyrus Mon 05-Dec-22 16:25:39

Garry Harry😬

MissAdventure Mon 05-Dec-22 16:26:31

I think Garry quite suits him! smile

I do not hate them, why would I?

I was 100% on their side before the Oprah interview, a lot of what they said during it has been disproved, now I am 50/50.

I hope that are happy as a family, they left the U.K. and resigned from being active royals because they wanted privacy.

So why have they ferocious courted publicity since arriving in California ?

As the old showbiz saying goes there is no such thing as bad publicity

Lathyrus Mon 05-Dec-22 16:31:52

Kind of goes better with Chelsea, doesn’t it?

MissAdventure Mon 05-Dec-22 16:32:48

Yes, it does. smile

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 16:33:56

I apologised for using the word hate.

On two different occasions today, M has been accused of trying to bring down our way of life, and getting the Coronation stopped.

It's not normal thinking. Is it?

Jaberwok Mon 05-Dec-22 16:35:31

So they had a photographer on hand 24/7 else how did they obtain these intimate pictures?

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 16:37:13

errmmm - they knew they were making a documentary and got a photographer along to take pictures of them to promote it?

Because that's what photographers do...?
