Just been released.

Lots of black and white footage.

Kisses, laughter, tears.

We don’t have Netflix, so shan’t be watching it.

So why so much hatred for H & M is there hatred for them or a strong distaste for what they say and do? For me it's the latter.

If they are happy for a photograph to be shown to 'show' how they're hounded by the press which has no relation to what they've experienced and allow people to believe it's authentic then yes, they are lying, and not for the first time.

It's been said of Diana that she played the press, used them when she wanted too and complained bitterly when they reported things over which she had no control.

I admired Diana but am still able to see the validity of that claim. H has spent his adult life doing exactly the same thing as his mother, only he and M have taken it further.

They use the press to publicly trash and humiliate his family. They constantly court publicity, use the papparazi who he claims hounded his mother to her death, and have no apparent qualms about being paid by Netflix, who have by all accounts done a dramatisation of the crash that killed his mother, for an episode of 'The Crown'.

I’m so glad the late Queen isn’t witnessing this bizarre situation.

What a pain at least one of this couple is.

I apologised for using the word hate.

On two different occasions today, M has been accused of trying to bring down our way of life, and getting the Coronation stopped.

It's not normal thinking. Is it?

Totally missed those posts, volver

I admit to dipping in and out between the gym, choosing a Christmas tree ( so stressful to a Christmas decoration perfectionist like me) and general faffing around.

I think the press pack/media have to shoulder their fair share of the responsibility for the current Sussex v Cambridge situation.

I also think that maybe Meghan didn’t understand, despite receiving guidance what being a member of the RF entailed. Maybe Harry didn’t explain fully, who knows?

icanhandthemback Mon 05-Dec-22 16:41:30

Do you think he has the right to attribute his feelings about marrying into this family to others?

Surely he can talk about what he has seen. Kate "appears" to have taken to this like a duck to water but Harry (or Garry) might have observed differently. The press were vile about Kate's mother; that can't have gone unnoticed by Kate and I am sure I'd feel it if I was her. William and Kate have learned to tolerate the press in public because they know their future as Royalty depends on them being seen in a good light.

MissAdventure Mon 05-Dec-22 16:41:33

That's what celebs do, isn't it?

Nobody would know they were celebs if they didnt.

tickingbird Mon 05-Dec-22 16:43:59

It's not just that it is the Royal Family being trashed tickingbird

The King is a Constitutional Monarch, our Head of State. This is in fact a threat to our way of life, our laws, our Parliamentary system.

The only way to change the way our country is run would be by the consent of the people

Totally agree. Others may sneer about conspiracy theories but there is an agenda and what took place last week had an agenda too. If they have their wonderful life now in the states why do they keep doing this? The racism line is getting stronger and, doubtless, not being allowed centre stage at the jubilee and the funeral has fuelled more resentment. I just wish the palace stopped treating them with kid gloves and fought back.

And the photos before they left for America showing the despair and wretchedness of their lives, were they taken with a view to a later TV show.?

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 16:51:15

Good post at 16:40 GrannyGravy13.

Please read the post at Mon 05-Dec-22 16:43:59.

No hate. Not hate at all. All perfectly well balanced.

Lathyrus Mon 05-Dec-22 17:05:52

Jaberwok

And the photos before they left for America showing the despair and wretchedness of their lives, were they taken with a view to a later TV show.?

Umm, you do realise that those photos showing their despair and wretchedness in the documentary are recent and mocked up for the documentary?

You sound like my friend who thinks The Crown is real.

Boz Mon 05-Dec-22 17:17:29

Harry has had do all this to keep his wife and children. I hope it is worth it. Can you really stop hatred (perceived or real) for Meghan by this type of revenge programme, I think not.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 05-Dec-22 17:24:14

Just seen this on Twitter, basically it comes down to who you decide to believe.

I don't know, when theybwetebfirst dating Harry had to put out statements asking the press to leave Megahn alone and stop the racist coverage.

Not sure how beloved she was.

I think you should take a look at all the vile coverage Catherine had when it became public knowledge she was dating Prince William.

Look at how the press set Sarah and Diana against each other.

Nothing to do with their skin colour, just that gossip whether true or fabricated sells tabloids.

Yes, they did.

Catherine's background, her uncle, what she wore for a fashion show etc etc, all was hauled over the media coals.
Sarah -v- Diana
Meghan's father was set up by the media
Going further back, Princess Margaret and her social life.
Princess Michael of Kent
Prince Philip
Etc

No wonder the Duchess of Kent retired quietly in a dignified way.

If the media can't find gossip, they probablymake it up.

Not just the media telling porkies then!

Smileless2012 Mon 05-Dec-22 17:30:57

basically it comes down to who you decide to believe or what you decide to believe GrannyGravy their truth or the truth; I'm going for the truth.

Callistemon21 Mon 05-Dec-22 17:31:10

I do feel sorry for them.

But I do think they are being used and may not realise it. sad

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 17:33:08

What I'm discovering here is that we all see something different when we watch a promo on TV.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 05-Dec-22 17:34:06

Callistemon21

Yes, I think you are right.

I do hope that they do not live to regret their actions since departing the firm

Calendargirl Mon 05-Dec-22 17:41:22

something wrong with not being made of sterner stuff?

Looks like it, yes, if you want to marry into the RF.

Forgot to include the Queen Mother in ‘sterner stuff’ women, she was a prime example of it.

‘Iron hand in a velvet glove’ was how she was described by someone, Churchill maybe.

MissAdventure Mon 05-Dec-22 17:42:20

She was a heavy drinker, wasn't she?

Smileless2012 Mon 05-Dec-22 17:42:27

I think you're right too Callistemon and it's all very sad.

Callistemon21 Mon 05-Dec-22 17:48:36

MissAdventure

She was a heavy drinker, wasn't she?

That's one way of coping!

As long as you don't put foot in mouth in public.

Jaberwok Mon 05-Dec-22 17:50:42

Ah! I see, so all mocked up! Silly me,who would have thought!! Not having Netflix, I've never watched The Crown and certainly have no wish to. I do know that a lot of it is made up, pretty disgusting, but that's the name of the game where money is concerned.

volver Mon 05-Dec-22 17:54:30

Anyone want to explain the concept of "fiction"? Anyone...?

Smileless2012 Mon 05-Dec-22 18:03:27

Yeah I'll give it a go volver, fiction is the portrayal of people, places and events that don't exist in the real world.

imaround Mon 05-Dec-22 18:06:20

Granygravy, I know. I saw it. The press is horrible to any woman who marries into the Royal family. Meghan had the added racism on top of it.
