Harry sensationally accuses camilla

I distinctly remember an interview with Harry where he praised Camilla as 'a very nice woman'. I expect the wicked stepmother remark was a joke the American ghostwriter didn't get.

I always had the smallest bedroom as a child. I did query it once, because they really were box rooms, but when my mother pointed out that while my brothers' room was indeed much bigger, it was also shared, so I had the better deal, I was instantly reconciled.

I think the comparative size of my childhood sleeping accommodation is the only thing I share with Harry.

Thanks and unfortunately drugs have played their part in his estrangement due to his growing antagonism against us, huge mounting paranoia and drug trips in which he claims to have "seen us" doing things we shouldn't have (!) How can you argue with a trick of the mind caused by hallucinatory drugs?! I did see an article where Harry mentioned magic mushrooms and cocaine, but who knows what is true anymore.

The only good that can come of this is perhaps a greater awareness of drugs and estrangement that can only be a help and support. I think in the past many parents have been judged for having estranged kids with the view of "Oh if only they had loved them more!", which I find really sad. I could not have loved my kids more! The only thing I have done is be too soft, too nice, too kind... and nothing is ever enough when you are dealing with a child who has taken drugs who believes what the drug trip has "shown" them.

People in my RL do know about the estrangement and no doubt I'm harshly judged by some who don't know the whole story, because I choose not to tell it in RL.

We, on the other hand, have to deal with our problems, without sharing them on a global scale. It’s important to know what else is going on in the world, apart from Harry and Meghan. There needs to be a balance here. I think I saw 7 articles about M and H and yet our NHS is dying but this is not mentioned

Sounds like another brain fried by drugs taken in early years and irreparably damages the brain and thought processes. Harry is acting a lot like someone I know [similar age] who terrorises his family, is spoilt, entitled, always 'special', never does anything wrong. Like a big child.
This person has made his sister's life a misery, is a bully. He charms her, then when a tiny piece of trust is gained then uses verbal abuse to control her. It's how he treats everyone friends/family/relationships.
I've never thought Harry was a 'lovable chump' personally. I saw something sly and angry. Now he has a target on his back and he's burned all his bridges. it will not end well. I think he's put his children in danger. The bloke's a complete idiot.

This is how I feel about my Estranged son, sadly. Drugs change the brain permanently. It's so sad.

Harry says Charles apparently asked his sons not to make his last years a misery. Well done there.

As a life-time republican I have not taken any interest, nor watched anything to do with the royal family. Do not even bother to waste time watching 'The Crown' - would just like to see all of them become normal untitled citizens.

Obviously have been totally unable to avoid hearing about this latest ook, even before it is actually on sale in this country.

Does strike me as very, very sad. I have five adult children - and over the fifty plus years they have been in the world there have been arguements, and fall-outs mostly verbal, some more physical. Some of them seem (to me) have some very strange 'memories' and/or interpretations of events when they were children.

However, on the whole we now all get along pretty well, and careabout each other and the younger generation all enjoy knowing their cousins.

I would be totally devastated if any of them ever got anyhting published which details those old family fall-outs both real and imagined.

Upto now I just thought of Harry as being a bit of drama queen, wanting to keep in the limelight, but with this book he has fallen to very low. Obviously, the fame and publicity is so much more important to him that family relationships.

Whatever the truth or not of what he has had written in this book, no detailing of family squabbles should have been made in public.

Yes, this is not about the bigger bedroom , but about Sibling Rivalry which has lead to hatred and not been dealt with properly. Such a child!

I would think that bad mouthing his step mother is one of the worst things Harry could do if he hopes to reconcile with his father eventually.

We can all see how much Charles adores Camilla. If push comes to shove, Harry would be the loser.

It's now obvious, from his own mouth, that Harry has been incredibly jealous of William from day one. One of his complaints apparently is that William got a bigger bedroom than him at Balmoral - I mean, honestly, he sounds about 7 not a grown man. Sibling jealousy and rivalry, nothing to do with "the heir and spare" as he likes to make out, but plain old basic sibling rivalry found in families across the world.... only most children grow out of it, and it seems that Harry never has.

Of course they wanted her to have a crown. Does anyone seriously doubt that once Charles had managed to chuck Diana this was his entire aim, or that what Charles wants he gets? As for the leak, of course she didn't do it herself, she just made sure one of the staff did it for her.

The only thing Charles had to do was to make sure the negative stories in the press died down and they were able to change Camilla's image from the adulteress who destroyed his marriage, to the loyal supporter he always needed ,and fortunately his mother lived long enough for them to manage that.
Does no one remember the time when there were headlines, and most people thought him unfit to be king, and wanted the crown to pass straight to William?
Had he inherited then he might possibly have become like the Duke of Windsor.

Why? You get all of the privileges without the responsibility!

Princess Anne doesn't seem to have found it intolerable. Nor Edward.

He probably has the privilege of having a therapist on tap, but he obviously has not engaged in a meaningful way with anyone who could advise him well about building healthy relationships for the future, which is incredibly sad for him and his descendants, whose future well being he seems to have no thought for.

I wonder how many of us have the perfect family? I don’t for sure, much as I love them all. The royals are not perfect either, and never have been. If everything I’ve seen reported, mainly on Gransnet as I’m lucky enough to be out of the country at the moment, is accurately portraying what Harry has said, then it’s a sad day for him and his family. With regard to Camilla, I would say masses of people have second marriages, it’s not a scandal, it’s not even remarkable, and of course some children, grown up or otherwise, are resentful of their parent’s new partner. Such is life. It is what it is.

Surely there’s a similarity between him and his mother, she also did things that pointed to mental health issues, eating problems, depression, supposedly falling downstairs for attention, hiding in car boots to meet blokes and definitely talking more and more freely as time went by. she became increasingly dangerous to the royal family
Harry from his body language is incredibly needy and fell in love with someone equally needy (neither can bear to not have the reassurance of holding hands for a nano second)
Unfortunately Harry was always in his brothers shadow and like many siblings played the fool to get attention Princess Margaret (also as the spare) got into more and more trouble as the years went on

To need help and to accept it are two different things.

To accept help involves a wilingness to change and work with a therapist to achieve wellness goals. I am sure Harry has the privilege of having as much therapy as he wants, but he obviously has not engaged in a meaningful way with anyone who could advise him well about building healthy relationships for the future.
