There won't be one flying non my shelf any time soon!

Callistemon21 Fri 13-Jan-23 11:05:41

Peoples comments about the book are probably more interesting than the book.
😁

OnwardandUpward Fri 13-Jan-23 08:18:33

Nobody I know IRL has read it (or admits to having read it!) grin

I haven't seen anybody online say it was good, either.

maddyone Fri 13-Jan-23 01:44:11

Not me! And no intention to buy it or read it.

OnwardandUpward Fri 13-Jan-23 00:56:04

PS I have not heard one person say that they are glad they bought the book and that it was worth the money. grin

Has anyone read and enjoyed?

OnwardandUpward Fri 13-Jan-23 00:54:42

groan

I haven't read the book but it sounds awful. Peoples comments about the book are probably more interesting than the book.

Does anyone need to know this? All it does IMO is show how pathetic this man has become. It's the sort of behaviour of a young child looking to get an adult's reaction.

^Explaining that a friend had recommended the home remedy for frostbite after an uncomfortable return from the North Pole, Harry recalled of telling them: “My mum used that on her lips. You want me to put that on my todger?”

After the friend’s reassurance, Harry found himself a tube, writing that the smell of it transported him back to his childhood.

“I felt as if my mother was right there in the room. Then I took a smidge and applied it … down there,” he wrote^

... hmm... I think when it comes to books, I'll stick with my namesake...

^They then rented somewhere in the Cotswolds while Frogmore Cottage was being renovated as a gift from the Queen^.

The taxpayers paid for the £2.4m refurbishment of the ten-bedroomed Frogmore Cottage. However, we, the nasty taxpayers, kicked up a fuss about paying so the Queen or Charles repaid the money.

Then, when Harry and Meghan left, Eugenie and her husband moved in but moved out again very quickly.

It is still Harry and Meghan's to use whenever they might visit the UK; they stayed there last summer. It is believed they pay rent for it.

The house removals companies round Windsor must be making a fortune out of the RF! grin

It’s that memory playing tricks again. He probably meant they bought furniture on his personal account at Harrods.

It's not really the same though! I think once Harry had shown Meg his humble hovel abode, they could have found some freedom with a trip round the North Circular to the nearest Ikea, then once they'd picked up their flat pack and heaved into one of their gas guzzlers vehicles, after enjoying the in house Swedish Meatballs of course, they could have further bonded together putting together their furniture, until of course they find that one inevitable screw missing, always enough to send anyone Spare!

Calendargirl Thu 12-Jan-23 16:36:31

To be fair, I think it was announced that H&M had repaid the Frogmore renovations themselves.

(Eventually).

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 12-Jan-23 16:27:04

If he was hoping for sympathy, he was sorely mistaken.

OnwardandUpward Thu 12-Jan-23 16:14:28

I wonder exactly who H thinks is sympathetic to these "issues".

He really has no idea how some people live, does he. Ahhh diddums, there , there. (not)

Oreo Thu 12-Jan-23 16:10:56

Wonder if they had to live on beans on toast as well?

Oreo Thu 12-Jan-23 16:09:12

Oh how the nation will have laughed at that complaint about
Furniture from Ikea.Poor H&M having to slum it.

Also the “we had to buy furniture from IKEA on Meg’s credit card”. What nonsense. He was a millionaire several times over from his mum’s will alone plus what they were left by Queen Mum. Plus Meghan’s bank balance from her years in Suits. Who is he kidding?

Charles was still funding him from his Duchy of Cornwall income in those days as well.

‘Entitled Spare’ would have been more accurate.

Has any mention been made of the spacious apartment at KP next to William and Kate’s that was renovated with taxpayers’ money?

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester vacated it so H&M could live there but they turned it down because, as we now know, they’d already fallen out with the Cambridges.

They then rented somewhere in the Cotswolds while Frogmore Cottage was being renovated as a gift from the Queen.

They have always made it sound as though there was never any attempt to accommodate their needs.🤔

Joseanne Thu 12-Jan-23 15:47:06

Palace, Princess and Parties, if only!

Germanshepherdsmum Thu 12-Jan-23 15:46:53

I believe they did. And their current home is very modest I believe.

Oreo Thu 12-Jan-23 15:45:25

She probably thought she should be living in Buckingham Palace from the get go.

Joseanne Thu 12-Jan-23 15:43:29

Hmm. Didn't Willy and Kate live there when they got married? We didn't hear any complaining from them.
