Davos and Greta Thunberg

In her words

" We are right now in Davos where basically the people who are mostly fuelling the destruction of the planet, the people who are at the very core of the climate crisis, the people who are investing in fossil fuels. Yet somehow these are the people that we seem to rely on solving the problems.

They have proven time and time again that they are not prioritising that. They are prioritising self-greed , corporate greed and short term economic profits above people and above the planet"

Got a point?

That's just not pleasant.

Revolting little girl in every sense.

Sending that right back to you, revolting adult.

She is autistic and doesn't need some anonymous poster on GN wondering about her "mental stability".

Forgot to mention the group mind think effect … I am sorry that Greta is autistic so she needs her parents to be protective of her.

Thunberg, Attenborough and the rest are telling us we are doomed in the next few years, they are proposing remedies that cannot possibly be achieved. CO2 emissions are still rising we are doing nothing effective to counter that, nor are we likely to.

We did see a temporary drop in CO2 during Covid where travel and consumption was severely restricted, if we believe in “man made” climate change those are the type of changes that are needed.

There is no chance of that happening because although we talk about changing we do nothing.

I think it’s safe to say I care about me, my children and my grandchildren and I am worried about Greta’s mental stability.

How do you die from a wind turbine?

Maintenance workers fall off ladders, as do window cleaners.
Also parts fall off wind turbines.

My biggest surprise is the danger to wildlife, birds in particular.

Revolting little girl in every sense.

She's 20 years old.

The "little girl" jibes don't work any more.

..and yet she cares about you, your children and your grandchildren.

Be careful Nanna8 you might get cancelled.

Do you not feel sorry for a young girl who has been manipulated by her parents and by the green lobby? She lost her childhood in the process.

Maybe you could help Greta also work with the data ….

volver Fri 20-Jan-23 21:36:41

I think we should talk about Greta and Davos again.

ronib Fri 20-Jan-23 21:29:10

And …. So work with the data

volver Fri 20-Jan-23 21:23:50

I work with physics. And yes, I am an expert. 😋

volver Fri 20-Jan-23 21:22:45

Did that, lass. Proper research, not googling. 😂

ronib Fri 20-Jan-23 21:21:28

I am terribly sorry I didn’t know you were such an expert. Why don’t you get in touch with all the statistical bodies and let them have the benefit of your? Personally I work with the data.

ronib Fri 20-Jan-23 21:18:59

Volver if 2011 isn’t good enough for you , go do your own research!

volver Fri 20-Jan-23 21:17:50

Personally, I don't need to look anything up. Some of us just know stuff 😉

ronib Fri 20-Jan-23 21:13:34

Volver in that case just look up our world in data

volver Fri 20-Jan-23 21:09:29

ronib if you want to defend nuclear power you're going to have to do better than deaths in England from 12 years ago. 😂

Callistemon21 Fri 20-Jan-23 21:07:47

Latest data I’ve got is for England

🤔

ronib Fri 20-Jan-23 21:04:01

Latest data I’ve got is for England in the year 2011

Deaths from wind turbines - 14 deaths equals about 1000 deaths per TkWhrs

Nuclear energy about 1TkWhrs deaths zero

MIT paper2013

Nuclear energy

At what cost?
