It's gross isn't it? Badger baiting and hare coursing are outlawed and yet this goes on. Could it be because the toffs love it?

I’m reminded of Pam Ayres’ poem about the racehorse writing his will before a race - and leaving his packet of Polos to his stablemate.
Wish I could find it - might sound trite but so poignant. Heard her read it at a packed performance.

I bet some of those policemen sympathised with the protesters! Shocking that the myth of the Grand National still causes deliberate cruelty.
