Is there anyone here on GN still prepared to stand and say that it is not- and give evidence to the effect?

Is there anyone here on GN still prepared to stand and say that it is not- and give evidence to the effect?
Fleurpepper, I'm bored to the back teeth with all these Brexit posts. Try giving evidence - a clear concise (and brief, FGS) list of examples - directly related to Brexit - and maybe somebody will reply.
Oh I can assure you we are sick to the back teeth of the disaster that Brexit is. The evidence is all there for all to see, no need for me to repeat it. And it has been there right from the start too.
It is a bit like Health and Safety, as far as I am concerned.
When that got tightened a lot people complained. They still do to a certain extent.
But it cant very well be measured what would/might have happened if Health and Safety did not get tightened.
Same with if Brexit did not happen. As far as I am concerned, more of EU would have been awful[their further power and rules and say so].
And my number one concern and still is, is peace.
We have peace[to a greater or lesser extent.]. If we had stayed, I dont know that things would have remained peaceful.
Peace is not to be underestimated in any circumstance.
I am thankful for Health and Safety. And Brexit.
Am I likely to discuess it further on here? No I am not. I gave up talking about Brexit in about 2019.
Good grief 😱 it’s that all you’re thinking about on this glorious day. The beaches are full ( where I live) children absolutely loving it and all you can think about is Brexit, poor you.

Hear, hear
Fleurpepper do you really only know one tune?
Do you think you could possibly have any more to say on that subject that anybody wants to hear?
And has it ever occurred to you that every time you trot out the same old, same old, you lose more support?
As Brenda from Bristol might say
“Not ANOTHER one?”
I'm whooping it up with French friends here in Brittzny. No one even mentions Brexit, very little mention of covid either. Things move on, we enjoy living.
Does anybody else remember HHH Hancock’s Half Hour?

Perhaps this will clear up Brenda

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water too…🤣🤣🤣

I think the humour might not be appreciated 😂
I'm with you, Fleurpepper.
It may not happen in my lifetime but we shall once again join what is more or less the only benign bloc on the planet, to which we naturally belong.
oh yes, have had a lovely day, and will have a great evening with friends. And not been on GN for 2 weeks- as what's the point. But it needed to be said in the wake of Johnson's cowardly run away from facing the consequences of his lies.
Because Brexit was very narrowingly won on massive lies, and he was elected based on the lies and deception.
I am so glad for you if you are not, miraculously, very severely affected by the consequences of the lies, and of his lies. Most of us, and our families, grandchildren and all, are very strongly affected- and our grandchildren will bear the massive cost, in 1000s of ways, for decades to come.
But you are right, leave you to your sad delusions- and off to a great party with friends, the second today, with volunteering for 'my' Museum and a magnificent wild flower walk with the dog.
It is very possible to face the truth of this catastrophy, and have a wonderful personal life. Thanks.
And all you have is 'Brenda' jokes and mockery bordering on bullying, playing the player and not the ball- and not a single answer. Like the blessed Nadine- maybe she is on GN?
Brenda will be fed up- 3 by-elections to come and very soon, a GE!
7 or so years on and I’ve made up with two friends that were pro Johnson/pro Brexit. Neither of them want to discuss politics and one of them says he’s stopped listening to any form of news. If only he’d not taken an interest in politics prior to voting Brexit. I can’t help but feel that the reason they don’t want to discuss Brexit is because they don’t want to admit that they were wrong?
😂
But not to bang on about it forever on forums which is why you get this yawn reaction to your posts.
I didn’t vote for it but accepted that it happened and we move on with our lives, no ‘catastrophe’ for most people who live in the UK. Some personal inconveniences at airports maybe.
The war in Ukraine and energy prices and food going up in price has affected all countries in Europe.

Have you got anyone you can talk to in real life about this? Friends/ family?
Someone who can help more?
Anonymous strangers on the internet aren’t bothered about how you feel ( and I mean that kindly )
But talking to people who know & care about you is definitely your best bet.
Take care.

Steady the buffs.

You couldn’t be more wrong. The subject is as dead as John Cleeses parrot.

This is like a stuck record. Why do you keep bringing it up fp? What’s done is done. And no I didn’t vote for it but FFS give it a rest.

I answered!!!
Like another time on GN[not you] someone asked for reasons for or against something. I agreed something like 95% with what she said, but it was nowhere near good enough. Cant remember who it was, my memory is bad.
But only 100% agreement would have satisfied that particular poster.
All you have to do, you know, is ignore Fp's post. No need to leap into attack mode.
I agree with Fp that Brexit has been a disaster, not least because it gave us the most corrupt and self seeking PM that we have had in my life time.
It's entirely possible to be leading a perfectly contented daily life and still be angry about the cost to other fellow citizens and the degradation of the UK.
I presume you were not really talking about me particularly.
But sounds like enough is enough by this particular person on this particular subject for most people.
Cant say I blame them.
Brexit happened in 2016! or was it 2017.
I dont know what subject irritates you MD.
And I presume there is no limit to how many times a poster can post about something over and over.
But say teddy bears are not your thing. I dare say you would not want to read endless, and it probably is endless, threads about teddy bears.
I could start one today. One tomorrow. One the next day..

We have been whooping it up in our back yard with a Cornetto and a beer, good but not as good as yours I bet.
Thunderstorm drove us indoors😫
