Apparently because of what he said about the committee.

It won't happen of course, but I shall enjoy the dream for a few hours.

At the risk of repeating myself, I would like him to be questioned over his Russian connections. Johnson is not only a liar with complete disregard for the truth, for integrity, and for the electorate, he is also a traitor.

Unless of course he applies to stand in another constituency. Presumably it is then that consideration of a bar would happen.

I’m not sure that he could legally face a lifetime ban - I guess from the Tory party, but I assume he could run for another political party.

Surely the verdict should be voted on and the result held in abeyance? If he returned, the agreed suspension would then be activated, and any consequence of that suspension would then take place.

He has run away from the consequence of his actions. The law would not allow a punishment to fall because of someone running away and neither should Parliament
