Oh, I really like Clive.

Never watch the 10 News, as long as he keeps doing the 6 bulletins, that’s ok.

I like Clive. I think it was just last Friday because the news was straight after HIGNFY, and he’d been making fun of Boris Johnson, so it was inappropriate. I hope they haven’t dropped him permanently, that would be a bit unfair.

I'm sure he was reading the news on the BBC News Channel today. He said he hasn't been dropped.

Oh, they do. They make jokes about all public figures, the more buffoon like they are the harder they go in. I love it, it never fails to make me laugh.

It was a very funny episode and the whole point of the jokes was that CM wouldn’t be able to get a job on any BBC programme if he kept making fun of BJ.

Aren’t news readers supposed to be unbiased? He probably crossed a line of which he would have been well aware.

For my money Clive Myrie is one of the best presenters on the beeb. News headlines, reporting from war zones, chairing Mastermind, and now HIGNFY. Gravitas when required, aplomb and humour in equal measure. He has integrity to the backbone.

You can guess, I'm a fan.

I don't think he's been dropped, just from that particular edition of the ten o'clock news straight after that edition of HIGNFY.

I think he's too valuable to the BBC.

I'm constantly amazed that, given the current govt. HIGNIFY and the News Quiz continue to exist.

They never devote one complete programme to one subject. Johnson has been the butt for a lot of jokes but then he has deserved the treatment that he's been given.

Last week’s HIGNFY was one of the funniest I’ve seen for a long time. Clive Myrie is fast becoming a national treasure. The BBC only pulled him from last Fridays News at 10.

I believe it is scripted for the Chair person.

I like CM too and it's not just Boris who they jokes about. Many others too so he isn't singled out.

Visgir1 I know it’s scripted but CM’s delivery & timing were excellent and there was a good raport between him & Paul Merton & Ian Hislop imo.

I thought Clive was very funny in that episode. Boris Johnson appeared on HIGNFY years ago during his time as mayor of London. I began to think I’d imagined but have just found highlights of it on YouTube.

Surely the jokes on HIGNFY are scripted for the host by someone from the BBC?

Clive was only dropped from that evening's news because the jokes about Johnson were on a programme broadcast just before the News at 10.

He's not been dropped permanently.

Thank goodness for that. He's absolutely great. And HIGNFY is so funny, I hope they leave it alone and let it continue to be riotous.

The beeb made the rules about impartiality, he was showing his political bias . Going to Ukraine has nothing to do with this.

Boris used to be a very funny presenter of HIGNFY back in the day.
