I didn't mean by deception but simply by prison authorities calling men female.
I hope you are right about England and Wales.

I'm in Scotland and when my MSP enquired, some time ago, about any problems with transwomen being housed with women, the reply was that no separate record is kept as all are classified as female.
I'll be very surprised if that has changed.

A trans man will either have one or if they have had surgery will have a constructed penis. And if they haven't had surgery and so still have a vagina why would they see that as a "bonus"?

Just as there has been at least one rape, in a women's ward, where the hospital said it couldn't have happened because there were no males there?

Or accommodation of a male in a mental health female ward with traumatised women, some trauma caused by males, where he made it obvious, he was male, but staff couldn’t remove him for fear of being called homophobic

From the research I have done, I understand that the males currently accommodated in women's prisons in the UK (perhaps more accurately England & Wales) are segregated from the female population.
I also understand that the reason they’re in women's prisons is because risk assessments are undertaken which have concluded that it would be too dangerous or too difficult for such men to be accommodated in men's prison. Clearly the risk assessments don't take into account (or not properly at any rate) the danger to the women.
It should be noted that the vast majority of these men have their male genitalia intact and most likely do not “pass” as female. Also, many of them only “discovered” they were really female at the point of arrest - Arrest Onset Gender Dysphoria if you will, which miraculously wears off the moment they're released from prison . I would be extremely surprised if any male has managed to secrete himself within the female prison population by deception. If it has happened, then it's a major safeguarding failure.

The hospital case to which you refer was very different because the nursing staff knew that the rapist was male but had accommodated him on the basis of a protocol in place which means that a man's wishes (or delusions) trump the safety and dignity of women. The continued denial that the rapist patient was male is truly shocking and all the nurses involved, particularly the female ones, should be thoroughly ashamed.

The UK does have shared cells.

If you read my comment in context, it clearly means that in the UK there are currently no men accommodated in a women's prison who are sharing a cell with a woman.

We know, and the point has been made again and again. Sadly females are not just fighting against men eroding female rights, but also against women of both sexes who are supporting that erosion or refusing to admit that the erosion is wrong.

Mollygo & Doodledog - I don't think the law cares about women's feelings or how difficult sharing a cell with a man would be for a woman. Although I understand that cell sharing doesn’t (yet anyway) happen in the UK. In the USA, female inmates have been impregnated whilst in prison and even murdered by men who identify as women.

The very essence of gender identity ideology is the promotion of one individual's feelings over reality, facts & everyone else's feelings and rights.

We must keep speaking out - it's getting worse by the day. New CPS guidance says that a woman refusing to find her male partner's surgery for “transition” could be domestic abuse, as could not using his “chosen pronouns” or sharing ore-transition photographs.

The terminology they're choosing has no finesse - it's coarse.

I can't but wonder if this is indicative of a mindset. If they have to find another word to describe a body part, could they not at least have thought of something with a bit more artistry or subtlety?

And why do they have to have a different word - I'm pretty sure that when it comes to medical care, they all know what a vagina is and are not going to be confused if it's used as a reference point.

Apparently - if I understand correctly - it is only a suggestion of an alternative word to be used by care providers when dealing with the trans and non-binary community and their anatomy, so they are not offended or hurt by terminology that they feel doesn't apply to them, or they don't 'understand'. They are - again if I understand this correctly - to be given a choice of preferred terminology.

So I don't think women will automatically come under this umbrella. Although I wouldn't be surprised if the activists demand that the name be changed and vagina is eradicated entirely.

Are there any more highly offensive descriptions of womens' body parts to come I wonder, or have we reached peak insults, "bonus hole" sounds like it belongs on a game show and appallingly misogynistic!
