Statement from Metropolitan Police.
The woman involved in this incident was asked to provide her ticket but did not do so. She was spoken to by a TfL Inspector, then by a PCSO . and finally by a Police Officer. She continued to try to walk away and did not provide her ticket for inspection.
She was arrested on suspicion of fare evasion and was handcuffed. When officers were able to take her ticket from her so TfL could check it they were able to confirm it was valid. She was de-arrested and the handcuffs were removed.

This was a pre-planned operation to check on fare evasion and all passengers on the bus and alighting were asked to show tickets.
So, why did she refuse to show her ticket, three times?
Why was someone there ready to film part, but not all, of the incident?
The officers involved have offered to show their bodycam footage and are awaiting permission.

There was no need to handcuff a non threat

She was kicking off. Police are trained to handcuff first. She could have been carrying a bladed weapon.

You can argue and deflect all you want VS but this woman was in the wrong not the police. It’s really simple. Just comply and go on your way.

Other bystanders say before the filming started they tried to put her on the floor... So I am waiting to see if the body am footage is released to see if that is true

And the simplest way to get to her crying son was to show her ticket.
She refused three times to show her ticket.

Be aware there are always at least, 2 sides of a story, some of which may not be in the public domain

The Met statement said she was asked three times by three separate officials.

The police continued to manhandle her after she gave them the ticket

She was asked three times for her ticket and refused to present it. Why?
She is making a fuss for the benefit of the recording; I have watched the tape and do not see any evidence of manhandling but do see a woman resisting arrest.

She is responsible for upsetting her child. It is a tactic used to divert attention and shift blame.

This entire situation was manufactured by the female who refused to show her ticket.

The guy videoing parts of the altercation ensured that she got her five minutes of fame

Ok VioletSky how about you tell us why she didn’t produce her ticket when first asked by the ticket inspector?

Why she didn’t produce her ticket when the PCSO asked her?

Why she didn’t produce her ticket when the Police Officer asked her?

She had three opportunities to show her ticket, she declined until such time as she was handcuffed.

No it wasn’t ok. She created a drama, upset her young son and wasted police time. Pity she hasn’t been charged accordingly!

We don't know why she didn't show ticket, maybe she couldn't find it and panicked but that is conjecture

They obviously need a better system because 3 police over a couple of quid ticket is a waste of resources

And this idea that the whole situation was somehow set up is absolutely vile

Anyone without a valid ticket is required to provide their details to a TfL Inspector so that a penalty fine can be issued.
This is not a policing matter.
Officials only become involved where details are not provided or where someone tries to leave when challenged.
