Am so upset and outraged that a mother was arrested with her young son by Met Police as having not paid bus fare…Mother had paid bus fare .. am physically disgusted with MET police
They have traumatised this young boy and CANNOT understand these charges..

I always laugh when one of you says that

I only answer what is said to me

You are the ones who like to make threads about me, I'm just dragged along for this nonsense

Sounds like it’s a regular thing then. I wonder why?!? shock

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 15:48:55

As soon as it starts, I give up on the actual discussion because I know what's coming next

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 15:48:15

See what I mean

It destroys discussion

I always laugh when you declare a discussion dead because it doesn’t go your way. Pretending you are perfect suits your pseudonym VS. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 14:57:11

No, I am definitely not, there was a thread about it quite recently. There were those opposed to the training not believing themselves to need it and those who had already done it and found it positive and beneficial

GrannyGravy13 Mon 31-Jul-23 14:55:09

VioletSky

I've done the training if that helps

I doubt that you are the only one on GN to have done a conscious/unconscious bias course or seminar.

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 14:52:56

Unconscious bias, do you actually know what it is? Why do you think it only covers race?

I know what it means, but I am not sure that you do.

So much Privilege

Black woman is responsible for all ramifications of not showing a ticket even if those ramifications are over the top

You guys, not responsible for your own comments on gransnet, my fault for disagreeing or "making threads about me"

Unconscious bias is rife

I am totally responsible for everything I post on GN as are you and every other poster VioletSky

You have no idea if other posters are either privileged, Black or Asian, therefore you consistently posting unconscious bias holds no weight…

eazybee Mon 31-Jul-23 14:31:38

You have to show receipts occasionally on leaving the supermarket, a coach ticket before boarding, and a train ticket a least once every journey. Every one does; why not.

It’s not about biting or biting back it’s about your comments insisting this case is all about conscious or unconscious bias.
It really isn’t.
If the woman had been white and kicked off in the same way the results would have been the same.
You have to show proof of paid for travel.Whatever race or colour you are.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 31-Jul-23 14:11:27

Oreo

If a person kicks off in public and refuses to show a ticket that they do have, they have to take the consequences. That’s any
Person btw.

Totally agree and have posted the same several times on this thread.

Anyone regardless of who they are needs a ticket or a travel pass to use public transport and is obligated to produce it when asked to do so by a ticket inspector, that’s it, no excuse, no argument, produce your ticket/pass, simples

The police officers have apparently submitted their personal camera footage, so all will be revealed.

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 14:08:02

Same nonsense, different day

I'm still here, still enjoying gransnet, not biting back, just don't have anything negative to say about people on a personal level... If I did, I'd be obviously unhealthy and taking my issues out on others... Who would want that for themselves?

Parroting the phrase ‘unconscious bias’ doesn’t strengthen any arguments either.

Always making threads about you doesn’t strengthen your position either.

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 13:44:54

Attacking me for believing that this situation was mishandled and that unconscious bias contributed is not going to strengthen your arguments

Oreo Mon 31-Jul-23 13:39:33

VioletSky

And this idea that the whole situation was somehow set up is absolutely vile

Check your privilege

Are you having a laff?

Oreo Mon 31-Jul-23 13:37:08

Do you include your own contributions in that remark VioletSky?

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 13:04:12

Always the same people with this kind of behaviour

tickingbird Mon 31-Jul-23 13:03:07

Welcome to have an argument with me about me though Molly but I would suggest I know me a slight bit better than you do, so you will lose

You wanted it to become personal and competitive but flounced when it wasn’t going your way. Always talking about winning. It’s not a competition and it’s not up to you to decide the outcome anyway.

VioletSky Mon 31-Jul-23 12:24:54

The discussion is always dead when people get personal
