That picture literally sends a chill down my spine. However, I saw a programme some years ago and his father Fred Trump also had a rather scary look in his eyes.

I can't believe Trump was happy with that photo. Maybe it was fixed. If they took a series of fast-shutter clicks it would be easy to find a bad one amongst them. The most evil one. And as mentioned, it doesn't look like a mug shot.

Where is Melania? She seems to have disappeared.

Reminds me of my passport photo - hair behind ears, no glasses, and no smile - I looked awful and I’m stuck with it on my driving licence too. So they must have similar rules for taking mugshots in the US.

Not really, the papers are showing two of his co-defendants smiling, teeth aglow, quite the opposite of a mugshot.

Unfortunately, still charismatic for a lot of American voters who only believe what they want to believe. Trump will have this "pull" till the day he dies.

Oh God, my last passport and driving licence photo is really flattering, mainly because it doesn't look like me. Now in the throes of getting a new passport took it along to the Post Office where the woman at the counter said, "you will need new photos counter signed, you don't look like you do in your previous photo" drats!

Trump has gone quite white, maybe realising contrary to defunct phone company's mantra "The future isn't bright, the future isn't orange!"

I agree. I can imagine Trump practising for hours in the mirror to achieve that hard man / evil look. Probably to deter his inmates should he end up in prison.

I actually laughed out loud, at his attempts at "tough guy".

That mugshot makes him look like a cross between an Oompah-Loompah and Angry Cat...😬

I was talking with a person I respect , who is very intelligent. She said she would vote for Trump over Biden any day. Things are different there !

Part of his appeal is his "lets look after our own people" theme which is always going to be popular with a section of the populace. There are many people who dont want their tax money squandered in foreign wars or on housing and subbing out aliens. I am 100% in favour of that argument.

Apparently he is way ahead of all the other potential Republican candidates, even with all this hanging over him, as, unbelievably, his popularity rises with every accusation against him.

Those who believe he speaks for them and represents their principles and ideals, will take any maligning of him as a personal challenge as well as an insult to their hero.

I think he really could murder someone - and they'd find a good reason why he had to do it.

Worse individuals than him have been defended for their crimes. An irrational mind cannot tolerate being challenged - such a challenge is interpreted as a vendetta.

To mix up two threads, I wouldn't let him use my loo if he was delivering to my house....
