I came across this article posted on MN.
It strikes me as very perceptive as Harry yet again drags up his mother’s death at the Invictus Games.
It’s so inappropriate and disrespectful to those thousands of injured servicemen and their relatives that an over-privileged, extremely wealthy individual constantly turns the subject to himself.

I don't expect a woman who has given birth to parade around like a performing seal for me

Lucky for you that they didn’t do that then. You wouldn’t have seen that even if you were interested, but since you weren’t, you’ll never know.
Most people, royal or not are delighted to show off their new baby. No one I’ve seen parades in the manner you describe, or did you just make that up?

Come over to Mumsnet, there's usually a threaded going where the new parents have told family that why don't want any visitors for several weeks as they want to bond with the baby. I loved showing off my baby to close friends and family but it was my choice. I didn't have racist comments about my baby either.

I can recall two, not ‘many’, people who have spoken of their bereavements here. Both were relevant to the thread. Your mention was not. It was tossed in irrelevantly and distastefully. There are others here who could, but don’t, speak of the loss of their own babies. But as you are interested only in H&M threads you don’t know about them.

No it is relevant to me. It is my reason for thinking that any woman should be able to give without the press outside.

I am reporting your comment because you yet again making snide remarks about my posting history which really irrelevant. I go on the threads that I want. End of discussion.

The Queen gave birth three times at Buckingham Palace and once at Clarence House. She was the first Queen not to have to give birth with the Home Secretary being present, which rather overshadows standing on the steps for a few minutes in front of the press.

How awful.

It was tradition, ever since the time of Mary of Modena, to prevent unpleasant rumours circulating that the baby had been switched.

WellsRose Sat 09-Sept-23 19:34:41

I.now have a vision of being the.poor woman having Suella Braverman of resent whislt she gives birth.

WellsRose Sat 09-Sept-23 19:37:35

Didn't the French Queen have to give.birth in front.of the whole of the.court?

Using the death of a baby to support your argument is beneath contempt.

As I've already twice I think it is relevant and why I think. You do not have to agree but I will not back down. What are you.hoping to achieve constantly repeating yourself ?

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 09-Sept-23 20:00:02

Saying something twice is not ‘constantly repeating’ myself.

Well that's not true is it. It's three times you told me how you feel and I gave my explanation the first time.

Mollygo Sat 09-Sept-23 20:10:59

Do keep mentioning it RW. However distasteful it appears to others, if that’s what you need to do to prove your point, go ahead.

WellsRose Sat 09-Sept-23 20:19:57

I don't keep it mentioning it. I said it once, then explained why I felt it was relevant once in reply to comment..

That’s OK. You keep on if you feel the need.

Why do the public need to see the baby. They survived the Queen not displaying Charles on the hospital steps.

Of course not. And she didn’t have her babies in hospital.

Are you so intimate with the Royal Family that you know showing off the baby wasn’t their choice?

Foxygloves Sat 09-Sept-23 22:34:07

Have to try harder WellsRose - a lot harder. hmm

Foxygloves Sat 09-Sept-23 22:41:03

Jeffrey Epstein is/was American so hardly fits the description “corruption in the royal family.
Who is/was Peer Ball ?
Any relation of Peer Gynt?

I don't know how they felt but Meghan chose not to do it and received criticism.

If you're not aware.of those connection between Epstein and the Royal family then you could search for Prince Andrew and Epstein. I'm not sure what his nationality has to do with it but Ghislaine Maxwell was involved and she is British.

You can also Google Peter Ball and Prince Charles.

Anniebach Sat 09-Sept-23 22:57:45

Megan chose to have the cameras in the palace , more queenly!

Anniebach Sat 09-Sept-23 23:01:38

Perhaps Windsor Castle , even more queenly

If you don' know who Peter Ball is do some research. Yet another paedophile with royal connections.
Honestly Jeffrey Epstein, Jimmy Saville and Peter Ball.
To know one paedophile might be unfortunate To know 3 well?
Read about him herehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Ball_(bishop)
