I came across this article posted on MN.
It strikes me as very perceptive as Harry yet again drags up his mother’s death at the Invictus Games.
It’s so inappropriate and disrespectful to those thousands of injured servicemen and their relatives that an over-privileged, extremely wealthy individual constantly turns the subject to himself.

Doria is not on Harry's mother's side of the family.
Doria is Meghan's mother, Harry's mother-in-law.
The Spencers are Diana's side of the family.
Beatrice and Eugenie are his cousins.

I am aware of this.

I doubt she would still be single in 2022

Well no, but still the mother of a future king and the ex-wife of this one. Where would that put her in the hierarchy.?

Anniebach Tue 05-Sept-23 10:08:04

Still their mother,

Still their mother,

Exactly.

Yes I expect so. Diana would have probably married again and so would Charles. Why not? Other people do, why shouldn't they? The C of E now, very sensibly recognises that some marriages fail and is perfectly happy to remarry divorced people in church. As for lessons in Christianity!! I think that perhaps Harry could do with a few of those! Honoring thy father and mother, seems to have escaped him, as has not bearing false witness. My father died before I was born, burnt to death in a Lancaster Bomber, I too have often wondered what might have been, but I haven't spent my life blaming other people or hating Germans, Harry you're not the only one, why can't you understand that? Diana's death generates income? Perhaps that's the reason you won't let go! Oh, and your brother, remember him? He also lost his mother that night aged just 15. How dignified and adult he is compared to you.

I don't like bashing people, but Harry has let himself down quite badly I think. And, like many of us, I had a dreadful childhood and wonder how he would have coped with it.
But I suppose the difference is that at least we suffered in private whereas his life was played out in public.
I seriously think he needs help.

Anniebach Tue 05-Sept-23 11:18:15

Harry is so like his mother, the need for cameras and not able to accept he could do wrong .

Jaberwok Tue 05-Sept-23 11:22:47

Difference is that no one outside our own families were or are interested in our childhoods difficult or otherwise, there's no money in it for us. Now for Harry, there are megga dollars to be made on the back of his mothers death, and he's been smart enough to exploit it down to the last drop. His dreadful abusive childhood? Another money spinner, true or false? Who cares! Racism inside the RF and this country? Not true, but a money spinner all the same while the lie lasted, even sending his 'much loved?? Grandmother to her her grave with this lie hanging over her. What sort of grandson would do that? How could he? Because his wife told him to? It just beggars belief. The further this horrible man stays away from this country, the better, and I'm a monarchist.

Maybe he isn't a Christian. One of the commandments is about committing adultery and not using god's name in vain so Charles probably needs to have some lessons in Christianity.

Anniebach Tue 05-Sept-23 11:49:38

Diana committed adultery several times

WellsRose Tue 05-Sept-23 11:49:41

How do you lnow there is no racism in the Royal family. They've excluded themselves from the law allowing employees from making claims of racial or sexual harrasment. Philip referred to Chinese as slitty eyed. Charles and Camilla were hugely disrespectcful to indigenous people singing in Canada. Princess Michael wore a racist symbol to the Queen's Christmas lunch where Meghan was in attendance.

Diana committed adultery several times

So that exonerates Charles does it. He even had his mistress at his wedding !

Anniebach Tue 05-Sept-23 11:57:34

No it doesn’t exonerate Charles, he was not involved with Camilla when he married Diana

jenpax Tue 05-Sept-23 11:59:23

I feel sorry for him, made motherless at 12 and so vulnerable, grew up as the spare in a family not known for its warm heartedness with a father who also had huge issues from his own childhood little wonder he is messed up

You know all this, do you?

jenpax Tue 05-Sept-23 12:02:30

And for those who mention how William is, their situations were completely different. William was always number one and treated as such and maybe his personality is different too. It does not make Harrys struggles less valid

Mollygo Tue 05-Sept-23 12:04:57

Wellrose
For a non Christian, you seem overwhelmingly preoccupied with the commandments (which were Jewish actually).

jenpax Tue 05-Sept-23 12:09:14

Facts are know
1) Harry was the second child
2) Heir and a spare was openly mentioned in the news papers then and later
3) he was left without his mother at age 12
4) common knowledge that Charles struggled at boarding school and hated it and that he did not have a close relationship with his father when young. Anne has also spoken of this.
5) Charles parents left him and his siblings for extended periods including when he was tiny for foreign tours, not conducive to secure attachments
Common sense would tell you that this is a recipe for i secure attachments

jenpax Tue 05-Sept-23 12:11:43

Insecure attachments. Charles struggled so makes sense that he might too have struggled with bring up his own children.

Anniebach Tue 05-Sept-23 12:17:59

Charles was son of a reigning monarch who suddenly became monarch when only 25 years of age , yes he was left at home when his mother had to take official overseas visits , in the care of a doting grandmother , would you have taken a four year old
with you

WellsRose Tue 05-Sept-23 12:18:41

I'm responding to another poster who is saying that Harry needs lessons in Christianity. How is that preoccupied?

It must have had a detrimental affect as Chales discussed it in a documentary and book.

Smileless2012 Tue 05-Sept-23 12:30:04

Can't remember when or under what circumstances WellsRose but I'm sure H said his family aren't racist.

Anniebach Tue 05-Sept-23 12:32:55

Camilla was very much in love with her first husband,

Kanga Tyron ?
