She says they are willing to face the UK authorities and fight their case in court????? Well come back to the UK and face the authorities, stop hiding, stop running and stop avoiding justice for that poor defenceless child!

Given what we know, this poor child appears to have been systematically abused so this was neither an “incident” nor an “accident” I feel so sorry for her biological mother and maternal grandmother, utterly heartbreaking

Guilty as and only appearing as they are more afraid of 'justice' there than here. No person of that age should be photographed in that very adult way - never mind being made up to look 20. There was not a normal childhood going on for that poor little mite.

I'm not surprised they are frightened to be in Pakistan as they've brought shame to the country. But I don't think they have much chance of hiding for any length of time with 5 children and 3 adults.. Many questions to be answered before this little girl gets any justice..

Consistent injuries over a sustained period doesn't sound like an accident. Why did they flee if there wasn't something suspicious going on? Why was the father given custody? She was made to look much older in that photograph and wonder if she was being groomed for marriage. Perhaps she rebelled.

Revolting shysters, especially the father, why wasn't child with the real birth mother, absolute failure of social services, etc

If they were responsible for her death in another country and then fled to Pakistan that brings shame on the country because it has become world news.. this will not IMO be easily forgiven

Yes they saying that they will show themselves so we will bring them back to uk because we won’t punish them as bad. So many times you hear that they don’t understand or speak English but they always seem to be quick learners but what that poor girl must have gone through for a long time is unbearable to think about. We should throw away the key but they will probably say suffer with trauma etc and get couple of years

I’m utterly baffled that not only do these filthy disgusting men get away with it, but the little girls’ mothers presumably tolerate such horrific sexual abuse of their daughters. It’s a cruel act of nature that children as young as 9 or 10 can menstruate, but it takes a far more evil society passing the laws that allow mature men to use them for their own sick gratification. How can they worship and pray to any god that condones it.

I thought when the child's death was announced they said the step mother did not speak much English, she doesn't seem to be having any language problems on this video, she describes the child's death as an " incident " and seems more concerned with the police raising family members homes looking for them. If they have themselves up there would be no need for the police to be looking for them.

That may well be exactly what it was intended for pascal30.
However apart from the partners excellent English, prepared or not she has very good pronunciation and that doesn’t one with not knowing the language!
What struck me was the fathers nonchalance and his slumped ‘ I couldn’t care less’ stance!
So sad!

It troubles me that in the photo of Sara she is sitting on an unmade bed.
I also wonder why they fled to Pakistan to live, in their words, in fear of torture or death at the hands of the Pakistani police.
So sad for that lovely little girl and her mother and grandmother.

The photo of Sara Sharif appeared on the news this evening. My DH, who used to be a photographer in the past took one look at it and said it looked rather badly photo shopped.
