Just that really

We sit here and watch a genocide happening. It is horrific!!! Yes,what Hamas did at the music festival and in the kibuutz was disgusting and hrrific, but how many eyes for those eyes will and can ever make it right???

Far from destroying Hamas, the Israeli destruction is ensuring that any child that manages to crawl out of the destruction of his/her home leaving parents, g.parents and siblings dying behind them is well on route to becoming the future Hamas fighter. As this is obvious, it is the reason that the Israeli government is set on wiping as much of that Palestinian population of the face of the earth.

And the very deliberate lies being spead over here in UK. So one of my nieces sent me a photo of the London demo last weekend. Hundreds of thusands of proteters against this horrific war. Some had triedtodepict the deaths of a baby every 15 minutes (under Israeli bombardment), by laying out dolls wrapped in swaddling clothes. My niece had been told (and this was what was being spread around her Jewish commnity), that this was the Palestinians gloating over the deaths of the babies in the kibbutz!!!

The first casualty of war, etc..........

Today, I am thinking of human beings in Gaza buried under the rubble.

I am thinking of their joys, dreams, hopes & fears.

I wonder, if the dust ever settles, whether opponents of a ceasefire will look back and reflect on the cost of their inhumanity.

We need a ceasefire, now.

Millions across the world want a ceasefire now

America doesn’t Britain follows America

Starmer always sided with the apartheid state of Netanyahu’s Israel.

It’s odd because there he is in 2015 with Labour and Palestine and right beside him is a sign End The Siege

Another change from Starmer

Ilovecheese Tue 31-Oct-23 14:43:24

Franbern I do so agree with you.

Grany Tue 31-Oct-23 14:47:51

Franbern I agree with you too.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 31-Oct-23 15:28:56

I am thinking of the casualties and deaths of Israel and Palestine.

I cannot and will not have any sympathy or forgiveness for Hamas Terrorists, they knew the outcome of their barbarism the blood of innocent Israelis and Palestinians may ever be on their hands,

Glorianny Tue 31-Oct-23 15:42:17

70% of those who have been killed in Gaza are women and children. How on earth can that be "destroying Hamas"?

I have asked before what should people in Gaza who wanted freedom have done? They had been abandoned by everyone and left in "the biggest open air prison" in the world. How were they to escape?

The events of the last few weeks have been terrible, but the fault cannot blamed on only one party. Terrorism only prospers where there are grievances.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 31-Oct-23 16:15:26

What Starmer also said is that Israel will have to answer for any/all war crimes it commits before an international court of law.

I am just reading that up to 50 souls have been killed by the Israeli army in a refugee camp.

Grany Tue 31-Oct-23 16:37:03

America supply’s arms to Israel so does the UK, so Keir would not back a ceasefire, as RS does not back a ceasefire, so KS backs the establishment.

Iam64 Tue 31-Oct-23 16:50:10

Starmer set out clearly his views and expectations in this awful conflict.
I do not believe he opposes a ceasefire because he benefits from arms trade

Of course they are women and children Hamas are using them as human shields.

Glorianny Tue 31-Oct-23 17:06:21

If we continue to supply Israel with arms which they are using to commit war crimes doesn't that mean we are complicit? Saying we will not continue to supply arms might bring about a ceasefire.

Yes, some of us can feel horror and think of the deaths on both sides of this conflict.

To be so dismissive of the horrific massacre carried out in Israel by Hamas, as some posters appear to be, is just very frightening, and, with such views even from people on here, I can see why Jewish people in this country are terrified.

Netanyahu is out for revenge and it is the poor civilians, women and children in Palestine, who are the victims.
I can understand that he wants to finish Hamas, but unfortunately it is doubtful that he will succeed; it will be like trying to behead the Hydra.

Where or how this will end I do not know 😥

Well good luck with trying to get whoever is supplying Hamas and Hezbollah with arms.

If Israel stops now all it will do is give those to terrorist organisations time to regroup and rearm.

That is somewhat naïve, sorry.

What do you think would happen then?

How do you "use someone as a human shield" in an area where people are so crowded together? What are the people supposed to do? There are 2 million people in an area of 140 square miles.
London is 607 square miles with around 8million, so similarly inhabited.. No space to escape

Ilovecheese Tue 31-Oct-23 17:31:43

I see The Pope is calling for a ceasefire

lsraeli warplanes hit a densely-populated residential block in Jabalia camp with 6 bombs, each weighing a ton. Killing 400 Palestinians while hundreds of others are either injured or reported missing under the rubble.

Genocide

Ceasefire Now

If you want to see what's going on right now in Gaza just have a look on X. It's just murder.

Not sure, but that information does not tally with the AlJazeera report:

www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2023/10/31/israel-hamas-war-live-israeli-air-attacks-continue-across-gaza

Both sides are intransigent, it seems. ☹

It’s on the News now!

GrannyGravy13 Tue 31-Oct-23 18:18:47

Just seen it, IDF have confirmed they targeted a refugee camp, absolutely deplorable.

Iam64 Tue 31-Oct-23 18:45:05

It’s not acceptable for the IDF to say they were targeting a Hamas commander- they hit civilians in a refugee camp. They’re growing a new Hamas army by their actions

The refugee camp had a Hamas bunker in the middle that is now a huge crater, they are placing their rocket launchers in hospital grounds.
Casualty numbers are as reported by Hamas, believe the propaganda if you wish, the question you should ask is how much suffering is Hamas willing to inflict on the Palestinians in their aim to destroy Israel

GrannyGravy13 Tue 31-Oct-23 20:07:33

Katie59 I am torn, Hamas are despicable on siting their operations amidst innocent civilians.

Israel has the right to avenge 7/10

I think both sides are using social media and enhancing propaganda.
