Yes Callistemon21 on every news bulletin and online newsfeed there is constant coverage from inside Gaza, including hospitals.

There will be little or no film of what is happening in Gaza……….And no one is allowed out to say what they have witnessed

I’ve seen film and reports of what is happening in Gaza. Journalists are there and reporting and filming.

I sincerely hope there is a ceasefire and a negotiated peace, what is happening in Gaza is wrong and I believe will backfire on Israel which will be terrible for it's citizens. The IDF may succeed in killing many of the Hamas terrorists but some will remain and many innocent Palestinian and Israeli lives will also be lost. They might win the war but they will lose the peace as there will be even more hatred on both sides. If they raze Gaza to the ground, do you think those Palestinians left alive will be more or less likely to join a Terrorist organisation? I know what I think.

I support the ‘idea’ of a ceasefire but will Hamas, a terrorist organisation, adhere to it? It could potentially leave Israel impotent against Hamas continued shelling, if Hamas decides not to conform to the ‘rules of war’. What happens then? It’s all such a mess.

Maybe if they had been brought to book over the landgrabs,torture and appalling treatment of Palestinians decades ago this would have never happened.
We need to stop supplying arms.. .thats whats destroying lives ...the countries happy to sell ...or give armaments to hostile countries .

If it wasn’t for Governments selling arms to Ukraine it would now be under the boots of Russia.

It would have helped if other governments hadn’t been supplying Hamas with arms for decades too.

I posted this in the previous thread, Hamas is not poor, it keeps its citizens who elected the organisation extremely poor.

Mayor S Khan is against leader Keir Starmer’s stance on Gaza.

Some 49 Labour MPs – almost a quarter of the 199 Labour members in parliament – have now defied the leader’s position and publicly called for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The party’s MPs have been offered security advice, as they come under pressure from their constituents over Sir Keir’s comments on the conflict.

Joining the rebels in a statement on Twitter / X, Mr Khan said: “Thousands of innocent civilians have already been killed in Israel and Gaza. With the humanitarian crisis set to deteriorate even further, I’m calling for a ceasefire.”

Why isn't KS calling for a ceasefire in this humanitarian crisis? Could it be because he and a number of his shadow cabinet are members of Friends of Israel and the Israel Lobby!?

Grany maybe Mr.Khan should look closer to home and do something about the knife crime in London under his watch!

Remind me. How many billions in aid have they received. Don’t forget it takes a lot of fuel to ventilate hundreds of miles of tunnels.

Such dignity even in anger as he detailed the terrible actions of hamas as the peace music festival, at the kibbutzim and houses and what the army and medics found.A lot of it filmed on phones and bodycams taken from dead or prisoner hamas terrorists and on home security cameras.
I listened to him with tears pouring down my face thinking of the last moments of those poor men women and children.It was something from your worst nightmares.
It was powerful stuff and the UN and the world needed to hear it.

As an American said on TV to an Israeli spokesperson. "You are able to travel here from Tel Aviv to make your point. No one from Gaza can do so."

Did you listen to what he had to say to the UN? Did you? Unbearable to hear but important that we, and the world did hear.

Do you mean that Muslim voters will threaten or actually harm MP’s?! 😲 Does Keir Starmer have to cave in to what they want in your view? We can’t allow any section of society or religious group to pressure MP’s in this way, it’s outrageous.

There are a few films done by news organisations and a few from phones. Nothing like the amount of coverage the Israelis have put together. Of course it's harrowing. So is the sight of a Palestinian grandmother who has lost the rest of her family looking at her last family member, her baby granddaughter in an incubator and saying she doesn't want to love the child because she has lost all of those she loved. Only no one is going to invite her to address the UN.

There is plenty of footage showing Palestinian families and their dreadful losses.

Maybe if Hamas shared some of its millions stashed in property portfolios and the like with its citizens they could have shelters. But they won’t because they are safe in their spider web of tunnels and of course the head honchos are residing in luxury in Qatar.

Muslim voters are disappointed they feel unrepresented in KS Labour Party, understandable with Mr K Starmer's one sided stance on the crisis, plenty of other people are too.

I and most of the UK want a ceasefire what's so hard to understand. I expect the Labour MPs are embarrassed when having to hear their Mumlim constituents views and can't support them as it not policy.

Which makes Israel's bombing not only illegal collective punishment, but useless into the bargain!

Glorianny Israel has no doubt got intelligence officers in Gaza, they are going for legitimate Hamas targets.

Why do you not save some of your anger for Hamas who are deliberately and in my opinion acting cowardly by using civilians as human shields.

Can someone please explain to me why so much emphasis is being put on Keir Starmer’s stance in not calling for a ceasefire, whilst our Prime Minister / Government are also not calling for a ceasefire. Surely commentators should be directing their ceasefire issues at the party actually in power in the UK, not the leader of the opposition. KS is not the PM; he holds no power; yet he appears to be getting far more criticism for his view than the ACTUAL PM, who holds the same view! I don’t get it. This is not a time to play politics, score points, play one party against the other - it’s a time for serious statesmanship and collaboration.

Last I saw he was negotiating for the release of all hostages and foreign nationals from Gaza which was reliant on a ceasefire by both sides.

There is zero likelihood of a ceasefire, Israel has said it I’d going to level Northern Gaza they will pound it to dust. They don’t have time restrictions, this conflict ends when Hamas are defeated, in the same way WW2 ended when Germany was defeated, that meant destroying most cities in Germany.
When fanatics dominate civilians that’s what happens.

Above is from The Guardian 1 day ago. So, Sunak is calling for ‘specific pauses’ rather than a full ceasefire. This is also what Keir Starmer is calling for. Yet Starmer, leader of the opposition, is criticised for ‘not calling for a ceasefire’ while Sunak, PM, is not criticised. Why?
