A wise move? Or will he come to regret it?

AGAA4 Mon 13-Nov-23 14:54:46

Thank you Casdon. I certainly wasn't expecting that. I read a news snippet early this morning which stated a former MP would be brought back. I thought Please not Boris!

AGAA4 Mon 13-Nov-23 14:56:15

Sorry PM!

ronib Mon 13-Nov-23 14:56:34

Started off today in some shock and realise by now that this is the last gasp cabinet reorganisation. Probably and hopefully not heading towards revolution but maybe even some improvements? No harm living in hope?

MaizieD Mon 13-Nov-23 15:28:54

To revert to this 'silent majority. Sam Coates, Sky, reports this:

YouGov has been snap polling

Interesting that amongst Tory voters, the YouGov poll found more wanted the PM to get rid of Suella Braverman (44%) than keep her (39%)

ronib Mon 13-Nov-23 15:33:59

Maizie D 5 percent- not statistically significant? And YouGov? Best check if other polls on the topic are finding similar results. If there are any.

Errr... I recall a not statistically significant result that pulled us out of the EU...

I'm sure there will be other polls...

Oh well, the deckchairs have been rearranged but the Tory ship is still sinking. Labour will win the next GE so this new lot only have 12 months in their new posts anyway.

Nicenanny3 Mon 13-Nov-23 15:39:48

The Telegraph today active poll

Steve Barclay is Ms. Coffey’s replacement

I shall watch him with trepidation. He is against hare coursing, so he could be promising.

ronib Mon 13-Nov-23 15:44:14

Did I imagine it or did Jacob Rees Mogg say that SB was opposed to a huge increase in the number of legal migrants and that’s why she was sacked?

MayBee70 Mon 13-Nov-23 15:49:23

RosiesMaw

Coffey was Truss’s buddy wasn’t she?
I’m amazed she lasted so long.

Supposedly they don’t speak to each other any more. Interesting to see the seating arrangement on the back benches!

MayBee70 Mon 13-Nov-23 15:51:44

Just found out that Sam Coates does a weekly podcast so I’ll be adding that to TRIP. Is it just me but I love listening to the things that the journalists shout out eg ‘have you forgotten your resignation letter’.

That's been illegal since 2004 (not that it's been completely wiped out) I'm really not sure of your point.

Why is everyone being so horrid? Only Priti Patel and Suella Braverman have been standing up for British values. What is everyone afraid of? A brick through the window by the mob? Being debanked? Being cancelled by acquaintances? Anyone with an IQ higher than that of a park bench, knows full well that this has been engineered by "the blob".

growstuff Mon 13-Nov-23 16:17:46

Hmm! Is this the plot for another Dorries novel - "The Blob will be back"?

British values? Do you mean those shared by ugly drunk hooligans draped in flags out for a punch up?

When I last looked I was British and they don't stand up for my values at all.

Mind you, I'mm tempted to think that was a parody post

Urmstongran Mon 13-Nov-23 16:49:19

I wouldn’t mind betting George Osborne will be back soon. A safe seat somewhere for him.

And I think all Sunak is interested in is making his name on the World stage and get a nice new role - probably going to resign before or just after Christmas so he doesnt get the blame for losing the election! He has his Green Card....

Whitewavemark2 Mon 13-Nov-23 17:05:58

Is Gove still there?

ronib Mon 13-Nov-23 17:08:17

Yes - WWm2 - he’s the catalyst for action- The Movement don’t we know?

JudyBloom Mon 13-Nov-23 17:13:12

He will come to regret it. Big mistake. What happened to free speech.
