A big mistake, but then, Sunak has no idea of the concept of loyalty, having fomented dissent in Downing Street for the past two years for his own advantage, and now proving daily how inadequate he is.
The right decision IMO but he was always going to be damned if he did and damned if he didn't. Her supporters wont be happy and if he hadn't sacked her, he'd have been seen as weak.
I don't think it's hasty at all . I would think that he has had it at the back of his mind after every time she opened her mouth. Indeed according to news he has been under great pressure. Don't forget Braverman was sacked previously.
Her reckless comments and total disregard for the police officers on the front line of a difficult situation was to say the least childish and petty.
She showed her true colours. A petty and childish individual with no thought for anyone else’s safety just but her own ambition. She leaves a legacy of hatred and mistrust.
Absolutely the right decision and IMO the only one. No one should condone the actions of this woman as Home Secretary. She deliberately and publicly caused more division by referring to the Palestinian march as a "Hate" march and publicly critised the police. No Home Secretary has ever behaved like this. She may believe she speaks for the silent majority but even if she does (and I doubt it) in her position she should have kept her mouth shut and done the job she was being paid to do, not use it to try to further her own ambitions.
