Very sorry to hear GK has died I believe she had Alzeimers for a while. They seemed a very together couple I'm sure her death will be a great loss to Neil and their children.

Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, and that she’d been ill. I was very disappointed when NK lost the election and got the impression that Glenys would have been very supportive. RIP.

She’d been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2017 and I’d seen a few interviews given by her husband on the progress of that awful illness.
I think they were a strong couple. RIP

Very sad news. I always admired her, if Labour had won that election, she’d have been a good support and role model.

I suddenly remembered last night that I sat a row behind them on a flight from Paris CDG, 1990s. They looked smart, but very relaxed.

I remember when she came to present certificates at school, her speech was inspiring, especially for the girls.

R.I.P. what a terrible thing to happen..it seems to be intelligent people who take altzheimers/dementia...not always but quite a large percentage..such a terrible dissease...i remember crying for months before my dm passed away. THE LONG GOODBYE..X😰

So awful that such a vibrant lady (and indeed anyone) should be struck down by a condition that is no more and no less than a living death. So very sad.

I was at uni with Glenys and Neil Kinnock. Glenys and I studied the same subjects in the first year but I wasn't in their set. She was always friendly and very popular with everyone. She and Neil's political views sometimes differed but she was always supportive whilst pursuing her own path. Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease which seems to strike indiscriminately. We were the same age and my memory isn't what it was.....

Oh that’s sad, more that she suffered from the awful illness prior to death. It’s a huge dread of mine. She was an example to women in my opinion. Both doing her own thing and supporting her husband. Rest in Peace.

She was a very decent person and a woman to look up to. Sad she had dementia but we were lucky to have her in our lives and I send condolences to her family . May she rest in peace
