There are rumours that the BBC is thinking of cancelling future Attenborough series. IMO these are educational in addition to being amazing to watch.

38 Degrees has launched a petition to stop the cancellation before it happens. In their view it is better to petition in advance so that the Beeb can think again.

I've put this on N & P because I think it gets more readers that the TV forum.

I know we’re all supposed to worship at the shrine of David Attenborough, but I can’t stand him. I do like nature programmes though, just not his.

David Attenborough’s wild life documentaries are educational. Why would they stop doing them 😫I remember taping them on my old VHS recorder and taking them to my brother in India.

I think it's just one episode in the next series.
Personally I consider him a wonderful educator about nature. I've learnt so much from his programmes.

I suspect that the recent crop of Attenborough series have been very expensive to make. I am basing my guess on the length of time the camera people etc spend on location waiting for a specific event. Often these events are ones that most of us will never see.
