Kate Garraway’s husband has died.

Very sad for his family

That’s very sad news, but a blessed relief for the poor man. He’s suffered enough.

Oh how sad. She has been through hell and back with his illness and rehabilitation and all in the public eye. Such a brave woman.

RIP Derek.

OMG. How dreadful. That poor man, his young children - utterly heartbreaking. I can't comprehend how the family must be feeling.

Such very sad news for all this brave family. My heart goes out to Kate Garroway who fought bravely on for her darling husband and their children.

I am very sorry to hear this; I heard he was very ill over Christmas and wondered how he was.

How sad to hear the news of Derek Draper.
My thoughts are with the family.

That says it all, it's been such a terrible time for all the family

I remember reading how the family were told that he was the sickest patient in the hospital, and then later on that he would never fully recover.
Covid had such a devastating effect on him because he caught it right at the beginning of the pandemic before the life saving vaccines were produced.

His quality of life was very poor but of course his death will be desperately sad for his brave wife and children.

I saw this announcement earlier on a TV in the gym. I felt the tears welling. So sad for Kate and the two children. I hope she finds solace that he is no longer suffering.

Poor man went through so much. I’m sad for Kate his wife and very sad for the children.

What a horrible journey they have had, he died with her holding his hand the children will be hit hard I think they adored their Dad so very sad
