Casdon am surprised you didn’t mention that the prime minister paid tax at around 22per cent as he was not taxed at employed income rate but investment. Dan Neidle suggests £8billion annually could be raised by removing different tax rates re earned/unearned income. Gordon Brown I think holds some responsibility for this?

Maisie, it depends on what type of Barrister you want to be, if an honest one, a person of integrity who wants justice for his client of course you couldn't represent anyone you thought to be guilty. As in any other walk of life, there’s corrupt ones, people who will do anything to make money or gain favour.
Monica, I would like your rose tinted spectacles. Can anyone else bring to mind another note like that, it is not a tradition to do that. They messed up, simple. At least own it.

It happened in the US too with a change of government.

After 13 years in which the Tory government could have changed any tax laws they wished to, it’s somewhat bizarre to blame Gordon Brown for this ronib.
