I'm sure the nation will rejoice...

Calendargirl Mon 29-Jan-24 13:02:52

Glad to hear.

Anniebach Mon 29-Jan-24 13:34:11

Wishing her a full recovery

Smileless2012 Mon 29-Jan-24 13:46:50

Great news especially for William and the children.

LadyGracie Mon 29-Jan-24 13:47:05

I’m pleased to hear this news, I wish her a speedy recovery.

Casdon Mon 29-Jan-24 14:22:35

Just a point lemsip, it’s not been reported that she has gone home today, but that she has returned home, date not specified. Well done the hospital for getting her home without being spotted by the no doubt numerous and intrusive paparazzi, I hope the King can escape in private too.

Joseann Mon 29-Jan-24 16:03:26

And King Charles too.
Obviously the hospital is having a clear out!

Those poor policemen can go home now. 😂

Charles left with Camilla and waved to people/someone. there was a pic online.

I'm glad Catherine has escaped the Press attention. I find myself quite concerned about her as her surgery must have been pretty serious.

Grantanow Mon 29-Jan-24 17:22:16

Pretty good life when one does not have to queue for NHS services.

Casdon Mon 29-Jan-24 17:29:34

There’s nothing good about needing to have surgery, whoever you are, and whether it’s private or NHS Grantanow.

Anniebach Mon 29-Jan-24 17:50:22

Not announced by the palace or the hospital surely, who is
Kate Middleton?

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 29-Jan-24 18:00:47

I can’t see that you have copied and pasted anything lemsip.

Casdon Mon 29-Jan-24 18:08:51

The statement from Kensington Palace did not say that she left hospital today lemsip, it is media speculation. Sorry the image is a bit blurred, it’s a photograph of a post.

From the Telegraph this evening:

“ The Princess of Wales has been discharged from hospital after 13 days, returning home to her children to begin the long process of recovery from abdominal surgery.

The Princess – who went into the London Clinic for planned surgery on Jan 16 – is at home at Adelaide Cottage, Windsor, and is said to be doing well.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress.

“The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at the London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided. The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world.”

Why some people and the tabloids will keep calling Catherine P of W Kate Middleton is beyond me. No one calls Zara Tindall, Zara Phillips! or D of E, Sophie Rees-Jones? So why do it to Catherine? Particularly as she has requested that she wishes to be known as Catherine not Kate.

At last you have managed to copy and paste - but it’s not a link to this story. Clearly you have difficulty copying and pasting, I don’t,

JaneJudge Mon 29-Jan-24 19:13:16

I'm glad she has recovered enough to go home

valdavi Mon 29-Jan-24 19:21:00

Maybe the King timed his discharge to help give Catherine her privacy. He seems commendably relaxed about sharing the gist of his diagnosis / treatment and he looked very well I thought.

sodapop Mon 29-Jan-24 19:21:24

Yes I am too JaneJudge and the King as well. I hope they both have a good recovery.

Rather an unpleasant comment Grantanow.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 29-Jan-24 19:24:08

Extremely unpleasant.
