I also watched it. I thought it was a very balanced programme. Years ago Mossad had warned Netanyahu that he needed to stop the financial activities of Hamas, they were aware of the tunnels but he chose not to do anything. I thought the programme demonstrated why you can't bomb Hamas out of existence. The important people live abroad and this war will just act as a recruiter to their evil cause because the young men left will have no future. Hamas is extremely well resourced and will just rise up again, whereas Israel is losing support because of it's actions, even the US has put together a new UN resolution which of course, Netanyahu will ignore.

The amount of cash and goods that Gaza has received through hamas is staggering.Gaza should have been a small paradise.
In spite of all that it was spent by hamas on hamas and they never stopped sending missiles into Israel and suicide bombers.

It doesn't really matter how much money is thrown at a state without a thriving economy that state will remain in poverty. With an unemployment rate of 45% and 80% dependant on that aid how far do you think the money will go?

Of course having your country regularly devastated by bombing and having to rebuild homes, hospitals, schools, roads etc isn't cheap either.

Last year I talked in an airport to a girl who was going with her family to visit Gaza. They couldn't fly there of course. They were flying to Tel Aviv and would then join the queue to try and enter Gaza. They had all the relevant paperwork. They were British citizens with relatives in Gaza, but she knew they might have to wait a long time and they were not sure they would be allowed to stay. I think some people are completely unaware of how Gaza has been treated.

What an unholy mess. We feel helpless against the power playing of the US and UK, Russia and Iran and the land grabbing of Netenyahu and his zionist supporters.
I think we are being naive if we feel there will be any quick solution but prepare ourselves for a protected pogrom against the people of Palestine.
The people of Gaza and many Israeli citizens never wanted to be in this deadlock. There is no happy ending here and we may as well get used to it.
All we can do is continue to apply pressure and pray.

The possibility is that at least some of the hostages are dead and some possibly missing.
As it will therefore be absolutely impossible for Hamas to release them all how many Palestinian dead will it take before the bombing can stop?

In every past conflict the figures released by the Hamas health department have been questioned but after the war their figures largely matched those of the UN and so were considered accurate. This time even the US isn't questioning them.
Some of the hostages may be alive, where they are, what state they are in and if they will survive the lack of food and water is questionable. Over 60,000 people are wounded. Thousands are missing.

Well two Israeli hostages were rescued last week by the Israel, so there is every reason to hope that at least some of the remaining ones are still alive.

The solution to this therefore lies entirely with Hamas. They know perfectly well what they have to do.

Maybe they do. But the question remains if they do not,(or cannot) how many Palestinian dead will you find acceptable, before you say there should be a ceasefire.
