One of the bright lights of hope has gone out. So very sad.

This was murder, slow murder by torture.
He was repeatedly put in a punishment cell in a penal colony in the Arctic circle despite failing health.
He was deliberately driven to die.
The cowardice and evil of Putin is unmatched.

Vile regime. Tried poison, then 'prison' in Siberia. How long could anyone live, starved and exposed there? And Zelensky is going round the world with a begging bowl to expel Putin from Ukraine. P won't stop there!!!

So sad and shocked to hear the news. My thoughts are with his family. What a dreadful end to a very brave life.

His wife has spoken in Munich asking for the evil man, Putin, to be ousted.

Sadly, any opposition to the existing regime is met with brutality.

I'm so sad to hear of the death of this brave, brave man. His wife and children must have been dreading this day since his return. Thinking of them and all who loved him.

Tbh I'm surprised he lasted so long? Putin certainly didn't want him around, he signed off his death warrant no doubt.

I can recall the days of the Cold War, I lived in W Germany when the wall came now and rejoiced at Gorbachov.

I was so sorry to hear this desperately sad news about a very courageous man.
He was described as being a very charismatic character who wanted to run for President.
Just imagine the difference he could have made to Russia, well the whole world really.
The war in Ukraine would have stopped for a start, and of course conditions for Russians would have improved immeasurably.

Who is there now to stand up to Putin?

And of course Putin is denying anything to do with his death.

As he refuses to accept responsibility for any atrocities maddyone including the Salisbury poisoning.

Yes indeed Jennifer. He is a vile man, I’ve seen many countries are calling for him to not be allowed to get away with it, but I have little faith that anything much will happen.
