Just saw this on News at Ten and it clearly is NOT Kate or William. The woman is nothing like Kate and William is not as heavy as the man in the photo.

However the Sun reckons it is them, so do News at Ten. 🤣🤣

FAKE News!

It was against the guidelines of the associated press, so yes it broke their rules. It's not the same as sharing a photo on WhatsApp with an emoji added.

Those ears look like something out of Lord of the Rings, nadateturbe.

Is that the farm shop at Windsor? Good stuff to be had there!

Although I do find that farm shops in general do tend to hike some prices. I was shopping in one last week and saw some perfectly ordinary cheddar cheese with at least a £1 higher mark-up than you could get from the Coop.

It does occur to me though that Charles has dealt with the press more skilfully than the Cambridges. You notice that there are no threads about his absencešŸ˜„šŸ˜„.

I hope it was the Royal couple shopping, and I really hope all is well with Kate.
But a busy farm shop on a Saturday morning?
Surely lots of people would have spotted them, and would have had no qualms about taking a quick photo, just seems odd.

fancythat Tue 19-Mar-24 07:52:25

I agree it doesnt look much like her to me. But sometimes photos can be like that.

I really hope it is genuine.
Else there must be big problems somewhere.

fancythat Tue 19-Mar-24 07:52:54

A royal mess has been created.

lemsip Tue 19-Mar-24 07:53:20

a member of the public filmed them from a distance and on the move give it a rest.

Are you cross that Primrose53 started the thread and not you * lemsip*? Every time a discussion evolves about a RF post, you tell everyone to stop talking about things?

Whitewavemark2. Yes nice groceries and butchers counter last time I went pre Lockdown. Mostly Duchy stuff. Pricey though. Nice cafe and loos. Plenty of parking. This "sighting" will do them no harm although it's busy anyway.

The farm shop is on the Windsor Estate and was essentially set up by the late Duke of Edinburgh to sell produce from Royal farms - you do see royalty there from time to time for sure. The likelihood of the Royal Family using lookalikes is nil to impossible. That might happen in less salubrious places, but I would (very safely) bet one of my limbs that it would never happen here. This smacks of the old Prince Harry/James Hewitt chestnut I'm afraid. It's just the angle of the shot.

The Prince and Princess of Wales must be seeing another side to some of the great British public. What is it with the media and the conspiracy theorists and their spectators that they cannot leave this poor woman alone while she recuperates from abdominal surgery. And NO, we don't need to know what is was for. Just let her be until she feels able to return to royal duties.

Joseann Tue 19-Mar-24 08:33:07

Talking of Hewitt, there's a Channel 5 documentary by the bodyguard of the time talking about the Diana trips to Devon, (my village!) This Saturday, 23rd if anyone is interested.

HelterSkelter1 Tue 19-Mar-24 08:33:38

I doubt the RF would have anything to do with looky likeys, but the tabloid press? And they attribute it to a member of the public to avoid repercussions.
Anything to sell copy and all of them are strangers to the truth.

Hear, hear!

'Her head is up and her long hair is billowing while she wears a cheek-rounded smile that seems to signal she is completely upbeat and cheerful'.
No, not from a bad romantic novel but from the piece in the Daily Mail. There is even mention of her carrying her own shopping bag as if she is a very clever toddler. It is demeaning.
Shame on the member of the public who took the video and gave it to the press. I thought that there was an agreement to put a hold on any pictures of Catherine while she recovered but I suppose that edited mother's day photo put paid to that. If a sighting of the Princess of Wales is required then let it be by an official photographer and not someone skulking in the car park with their mobile phone. Time to put the, often cruel, speculation to rest.

M0nica Tue 19-Mar-24 08:49:13

I am with Lemsip. Itis amazing how so many people who one thought were intelligent rational reasonable people go all conspiracy therorist when faced with a member of the RF.

zakouma66 Tue 19-Mar-24 08:49:22

So, it the Royals are buying stuff from a Royal shop aren't they sort of wasting their time?

Absolutely

When I first glanced at this, I had no reason to think it was a couple of lookalikes. However, where's the bodyguards, and why is Catherine carrying a large bag of shopping when she's recently had abdominal surgery?

Katie59 Tue 19-Mar-24 09:00:07

If she had not been carrying a shopping bag some would have said that she was still fragile and couldn’t manage.

Cossy Tue 19-Mar-24 09:01:59

This is all quite mad!

I am beginning to think I have been transported to a parallel universe overnight.

How come GN is now resembling conspiracy theory HQ?

It looks like Emma Probert behind William

Primrose53 Tue 19-Mar-24 09:30:02

There are plenty of Kate look alikes, just google. There was a weather girl on TV who looked remarkably like her.

Could be a couple of look alikes just having a bit of fun. They may even have tipped off someone to be there to capture them on camera.

If you’ve been stuck indoors for a couple of months post op and it is only March, why would you go out in what appears to be a thin, casual top. Especially when ā€œWilliamā€ is well wrapped up in a thick winter coat?
