Well pigeons, cat and among , but with reference to the particular examples she instances I am team JK.
Scotland is digging a massive hole for itself with regard to so-called “hate crime” and if it wasn’t that 1984 was 40 years ago I’d say it had arrived.

As for women who identify as men using men’s toilets Glorianny .Unless they have had an operation to manufacture a penis (which going by the photos I have seen look nothing like a penis) they are not going to be using the urinals.

Nor are they posing a physical threat to other men, especially if they have gone through pubity as a female.

If men find the idea of women using their space wrong or intrusive then it is down to them to campaign, after all they are usually exceptionally good at being heard over and above women.

Oh of course they aren't but if it is predatory men we fear, they will be able to enter a toilet by claiming to be a transman-saves them the effort of dressing up etc.

Actually all the changes that have been made including sports, the end to no debate, and women now having the ability to name a man as a man, started with conversations between women on social media. It's a funny old world.

Which is why at 09.18.29 I posted regarding Adams Apple Shaving Glorianny .

This surgery does leave a tell tale scar.

Not the latest. Click on the link

I know it's awful when ordinary people have access to information and the ability to share their views.

VioletSky Fri 05-Apr-24 15:25:16

Twisting people's words is not ok

These discussions never change, it's like groundhog day

It actually gave me the motivation to go clean the toilet as a less unpleasant experience

This is exactly why peoples attempts to vilify trans people will ultimately fail long term because others are put off by it. Real discussions about how to protect everyone's rights are happening in board rooms somewhere rather than reading people like JKR on Twitter or X or whatever nonsense

So you think I could be better in some way, do you, Violetsky 🤔

That's really rather insulting.

Not to mention patronising.

JaneJudge Fri 05-Apr-24 15:09:55

Not all men have Adams apples. Some women have them too

Glorianny As I said if you don't want to listen to black women that is up to you.
What all of them, they all speak with one voice? Except of course the black women who also don't want to race against males. Are they the wrong sort of black women? That's up to you I suppose. You do speak of black people as if they're unable to accept reality. It's very condescending of you, white female supremacy in action.

Ha Ha! Rosie51

I have weekly visits from nurses - from various ethnicities. Over the years we have chatted, as you do when nurses are coming into your home and establishing a relationship with their patients.

These women, from different ethnicities, are as varied politically, socially, culturally, as anyone else - and they also have their prejudices, like anyone else. We have had very interesting conversations.

So you are absolutely correct. I don't think any ethnic minority speaks with one voice.

The only thing we all agree on is that racism is an evil and ugly, dangerous trait.

Of course they are.
But if that group of women came in one after another and kept saying there was someone or some aspect of the system they disliked because it discriminated against them would you tell them not to be so silly and you knew better?
There are numerous articles by black women athletes and black women journalists that question the way black women are treated in sport. Which apparently you feel free to ignore. because they don't fit your ideas. Why?

There are numerous articles by black women athletes and black women journalists that question the way black women are treated in sport. Which apparently you feel free to ignore. because they don't fit your ideas. Why?

Not mentioning the way black women are treated in sport does not mean I am ignoring the issue of black-women-in-sport. It means I'm talking about another aspect of what we are discussing - as well you know.

Anyway - why concentrate solely on the black women who play the sport... where are the black women in management, coaching, and on the boards? How many black women are commentators?

It's all about racism as I said, so I'm not sure what you're suggesting that I'm ignoring? I don't talk about black-women-in-sport because (a) I'm not interested in sport - at all, and don't read any articles on it, and because (b) I don't see the relevance to protected women's spaces.

The nurses I talk to - although I mostly let them do the talking because that's how you get to know people... do you know what their main beef is? Believe it or not, it's men - their family members and their work colleagues, and Brexit, because it has had an impact on their workload.

So please cut these snide accusations.

The 2024 version of Animal Farm where the Billy goats are saying they are nanny goats to have even more superiority.

There is a very interesting article today online by Rachel Johnson called ‘When it comes to trans issues, JK Rowling is the heir to George Orwell’. She is a contributor to The Standard.

Nothing new happening here then, same old justifications to have a go at ordinary people living their lives

Gosh another extremely erudite post equalling Bonnybanko's

Callistemon don't do that, be better than that

Unfortunately Callistemon21’s post is true.

If you do not believe it to be so I politely suggest you do some research on what is happening in college sports in USA, which is now happening here in UK

In Australia, too.

Yes, strange, isn't it, that if men don't win in one way, they will try other ways to dominate ordinary women trying to live their lives.

I meant playing for men's teams.

I do know some female rugby players!

I did realise but I can see my answer may not clearly have indicated that.smile My friend's granddaughter has represented the Welsh women's team!

If you saw the size of my rugby playing GS and his team mates no woman would be mad enough to play rugby with them.

Strange, that!

AGAA4 Fri 05-Apr-24 14:38:06

That is the crux of the argument. Men are physically stronger than women!
That's why we need to be protected as some men use their superior strength to hurt women.

Are there any women identifying as men who are rugby players? there may be but I can guarantee one thing none would ever get selected to play on the men's team. Just as no transmen swimmers, athletes, high jumpers etc are ever to be found even qualifying for the men's events, let alone taking medals.

Callistemon21 Fri 05-Apr-24 14:22:17
