Yes, he's doing just as we were all bought up to do, and saving water, too.

I haven't had a bath for 10 years. I do shower though.

No time for Jonathan Ross since the Andrew Sachs incident. However I think we do need to be more careful with our use of water, not advocating a once weekly shower though. Use of sprays, chemicals etc for personal freshness is bad for the environment and for us. I do try to at least to hit the middle way with these things.

Not a fan of JR but he has at least opened a debate.
I think that showering daily is often an unnecessary habit, I may shower once or twice daily if I’m abroad or it’s a hot UK day.
Otherwise I may skip a day depending on what I’ve been doing.
A wash is perfectly adequate if you’ve not spent a day hiking/gardening etc.

My guess is I could shower every day for half an hour and my environmental impact will still be less than Johnathan Ross' environmental impact.

I don't care what Ross does but it's well-known that too-frequent bathing washes away essential oils from the skin.

This thread made me laugh. JR should sign up to GN and he could share all his water saving techniques on the frequent showering or bedlinen washing topics. We never seem to worry about TMI.

Why would you need to save water in the UK where it rains all the time? I can understand it here where we have long droughts and put in tanks to collect rainwater for gardens etc but, really, the UK ?

The idea of only bathing once a week is horrible to me .
Lack of personal hygiene ( and his horrendous tempers) made me finish a relationship .
It's up to Jonathan Ross and his wife .
I don't really want to know !

Small island, lots of users.
If we have floods, there’s nowhere to store the water. If we have a week of dry weather, we get warnings about hosepipe bans.

Having recently spent 2 weeks in hospital unable to have a shower because I was hooked up to too many gadgets, I can confirm that a wash with a flannel is perfectly adequate to stay clean and fresh. I enjoy a shower and a bath but I don't feel I need to have one every day and I'm sure many don't for financial reasons. I feel sorry for families on a limited budget, the cost of heating water especially with a water meter must be a worry.

Exactly, and we didn’t smell. For people on here to say it’s ‘gross’ is laughable.
