Interesting. I was saying only yesterday that the matter of the missing money had been quiet for some time. Presumably further evidence has come to light, though in the circumstances we mustn’t speculate.

Unless they are subpostmasters that is.

I believe this is all a witch-hunt harassing good people the proof will be in the pudding as they say. Independence nis growing day by day.

And this is exactly the type of comment that tickingbird is referring to.

I thought NS did a fairly good job for Scotland during the pandemic, but as soon as she resigned so abruptly, I knew that something was brewing, and now he’s been charged. We will await the decision of the jury as to his possible guilt.
Meanwhile I think the possibility of independence for Scotland is now far less likely.

🤔

Are you saying the Scottish police are corrupt then?

Supporters of independence always say the movement is growing, even when presented with evidence to the contrary.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Which is to follow.

‘Good people’ are not usually arrested for embezzlement.

Then following months of investigation subsequently charged!

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 19-Apr-24 11:47:36

Indeed. Fraud investigations usually take a long time unless the person charged co-operates. Whether NS knew of what he is alleged to have done, or had reason to suspect it, before he was arrested remains to be seen, but her sudden resignation suggests to me that at the very least she did not expect him to escape untarnished.

maddyone Fri 19-Apr-24 17:47:18

It was indeed a very sudden resignation.

OldFrill Fri 19-Apr-24 19:25:33

It has yet to be decided if there will be a prosecution and if so a couple of years before a court case.

Don’t choke on it then Oreo 🤣🤣🤣

It was suspicious several years ago when the SNP finance committee resigned en masse as they were not allowed to see the books. Since then it's all become more and more suspicious.
