Sad. No one gets married to get divorced do they?. They’re hoping to stay friends and keep things amicable. Such a nice couple.

Such a shame.

i always felt he was punching above his weight.
he seemed grumpy to me.
she seemed pleasant, on the ball, alert and engaging.
but to be fair, i hardly ever see them, esp him, on tv.

Aah that’s a shame, I preferred them to Phil & Holly on This Morning. (My guilty pleasure whilst ironing 🧺)

Not a fan of either of them. He always struck me as being a whinger. It is unfortunate they have come to the parting of the ways though, especially as he seems to be having significant health issues.

I met them a few years ago and they were both friendly, Eamonn more so.

I like them both but I think they’ve been growing apart for years. Eammon said he doesn’t feel that Surrey is his home but Ruth wouldn’t move to Ireland.
Maybe he will now. I hope they’re both much happier eventually.

Oh that is really sad news. Eamonn is super friendly. My cousin owns a big travel company and Eamonn used to book all his travel through them and all the staff loved him because he was polite and down to earth and always thanked them for their help.

He has spoken many times about how his back problems, failed op and then a fall have impacted on his life as he is still in great pain. He also spoke about how supportive Ruth is.

I would have thought a trial separation might have been a good idea. I imagine Ruth is quite worn down by her new caring role.

He is very good on GB News.

Can't believe that this totally unimportant piece of gossip is either news or politics. Tbh who cares? More suited to the chat thread?!

Not keen on either of them but I didn’t realise they d only been married 14 years I wrongly presumed it was a longer marriage they seem to have been around for ever
Ahh well it didn’t work so join the many millions of failed marriages

They seem nice but I would never assume that people I don't know are nice. Or not nice for that matter. It's showbiz. They are putting on a show.

I think he’s had a lot of problems with his back, which has made him hard to live with.

Shame though.

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 25-May-24 16:29:04

I agree Jaberwok. I haven’t seen Eamonn Holmes for years and I have never seen his wife.

I am very sad to read this sad.
I thought they had a rock solid marriage ...... it just shows you never know!

Lomo123 Sat 25-May-24 16:53:40

Always seemed a solid couple.

Probably a mistake in posting. Easily done.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 25-May-24 16:56:59

They had been together for a fair few years before they married.

They have a son who is 22 years old.

Eamon and Isabelle Webster are hilarious on GB news.
They are very close friends so he knows her inside out and often ribs her.
He is non political and just says what he thinks.

Delia22 Sat 25-May-24 17:22:05

It happens! Haven,t they both been married before.....to other people obviously!!😊 Not that it's got much to do with it! However I,m sure I read somewhere ,two divorcees marrying is more than likely to fail!? Don't know how accurate that is though.😣

MissAdventure Sat 25-May-24 17:25:30

I like Eamon, because he seems to have no filter.
I remember a makeover thingy on This Morning, and he sympathetically said to the woman "Well, they've really got their work cut out with you", without batting an eyelid.

Georgesgran Sat 25-May-24 17:31:33

Not that keen on either, but I think they’ll both ‘be there’ for their son Jack.
Ruth is all over Instagram (a million followers) and with her appearances on QVC seems the more popular?
I imagine he’s a bit difficult to live with - the Irish charm can wear thin.

Bea65 Sat 25-May-24 17:31:55

I met her on "the Really Useful Show' broadcast from Pebble Mill, she was utterly self centred and very up-her-self was not a kind person at all..think she was always very Me Me

MissAdventure Sat 25-May-24 17:32:46

I wouldn't want to live with him.
I'd imagine he might be difficult.

Kate1949 Sat 25-May-24 17:35:53

I don't think Ruth has been married before.
