Hmm.
Standing as a Reform MP after all?
Emigrating to America to canvass for Trump?
Joining the Tory party?
None of the above?

I shall tune in out of curiosity.

Starmer is too much of a coward.

Well, unlike Farage, Starmer isn’t scared of being interviewed by Nick Robinson…

I don't think he is a coward.. but he certainly seems to have difficulties with making firm decisions.. I really hope he has a sensible long term plan and then sticks by it..

This has probably been posted before but it is a potted history of Farage.

I prefer the Boring but Sincere party myself, or failing that the Earnest Stunts party.

Farage may as well be leading a party called "The Blokey-Bloke Party". I can never imagine him offering to champion a fairer deal for women in any way whatsoever, quite the reverse.
I can, however, envisage him and his ilk advocating a return to the 1950's when women's place was well and truly in the kitchen and a man was King-of-his-Castle.
So there!

Some women like the Blokey Bloke party. Bit like Posh but Matey Party.

Sunak isnt going to be PM either to be fair.

Farage wants a head to head with Starmer….
Let’s see if Starmer will take him on…

Why would Starmer?

There are only one of two people that will be PM on 5th July, and it will be Sunak or Starmer.

The noises from minor parties, without many/any seats is irrelevant.

Galaxy Fri 14-Jun-24 17:58:13

I think a Starmer/Farage debate would be more interesting, the 'gap' between Reform and Labour is larger than the gap between Labour and the Lib Dems.
I was looking at the debate stage at Glastonbury of all things and looking at the participants I thought well thats not going to be a debate it's going to be people agreeing with each other.
I dont think Starmer is a coward GSM, he may be many things but to take on the labour party and transform it takes some level of determination and bravery.

Casdon Fri 14-Jun-24 15:46:11

Neither does Farage. They are just as relevant to the people who support them as Reform are, and the Lib Dem’s stand to win a lot more seats too. As we don’t have PR, that’s what counts.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 14-Jun-24 15:42:51

None of them has any chance of forming a government.

Anniebach Fri 14-Jun-24 15:38:23

What should Starmer hold a debate with Farage ? What of
Plaid Cymru, Liberals, Green, SNP, ?

Shinamae Fri 14-Jun-24 15:23:51

Although they have beaten the Tories in one poll, Reform are not in second place overall, they are 5 points behind the Tories, who will be the main opposition. Farage is posturing.

We’ll see 🤓

nanna8 I grew up in a city with a King's School. I did think that the boys were different. They thought so, too.

I don’t think he is all bad and some of what he says is commonsense. Just some, though. Overall I wouldn’t trust him but I am sure over there you see a lot more of him and are able to make more informed opinions. Many moons ago I used to date a boy from Dulwich College and never thought of it as a particularly posh school. Just ordinary boys.

Ordinary boys with very wealthy parents! Nobody who attends independent secondary schools is an average normal dude, however much they might tell you they are.

We might have more time for Farage if he wasn’t so smug and divisive, less hypocritical and not all over the media constantly

How about " he tells it as it is"

😂😂😂😂😂

zakouma66 Fri 14-Jun-24 10:46:33

Ok, so we have established he can hold a crowd and string sentences together.

Without needing an autocue. Impressive eh !grin

It’s more a case of ‘He tells it as he sees it’.

I can’t find anything intelligent to say about Farage

I thought he might be a useful companion if we were lost in the tropical rainforest.
