For the most part, Scotland voted to stay in EU and I think the result to leave fermented discord with Westminster which has continued to date.

I don't see that at all.

It's just contrasting the abundance in the EU with the lack of it in the UK post Brexit.

I'm puzzled as to why that should be thought 'snobbish'.

The only thing in this installation that I do not buy is Baked Beans.

The rest is available in the U.K. admittedly not all the brands but there are many other brands of the pictured goods readily available.

So many wonderful and regional foods are produced in the UK, Whitewave. You have mentioned before the brand of butter you buy and I remember because I live not far from that farm, that's just once small instance.

The attempt at irony is not lost on me but it is meaningless because the thinking behind it is ridiculous.

Snobbish because baked beans are hardly haute cuisine?!

And as for the rule about not taking foods abroad, we brought 24kgs of dog food visible in the car!

I cried my eyes out. I was glad Trump was then voted in as president of the USA, just because the U.K. then became only the second most stupid nation on the planet. I was very fortunate (and determined) to be able to leave. I did this two years ago, and my daughter and son-in-law and grandchildren have followed me. I feel blessed.

Yes, I might be a food snob, but was just wondering why baked beans were chosen when they are actually native American cuisine. 🇺🇸 There's far better British examples on the 🇬🇧 shelf as I tried to illustrate.

When we come back from France, I always bring packets of Heudebert Biscottes, so useful for a quick snack and the goûte brioche ones are a less fattening way than scones, to eat with jam and clotted cream.
I asked Booths why they didn’t stock them, and they said it was because of Brexit. That’s funny, because we’ve lived here over 40 years and they’ve never stocked them.

The good news for British producers is that we get so many different sorts of UK Brie type cheeses rather than importing.

What annoys me is that the ‘give us our country back’ posters that many farmers put up in their fields encouraged others to vote leave. Even though their own union had advised them to vote remain.
